Honestly now, do you think there would be a lot of trouble if the Cardiff/Jacks game was not a bubble trip???
Part of me believes that the hooligan element has been completely nullified in this fixture due to the amount of bubble trips over the past 2 decades. A lot of the old timers who were causing trouble back then are now older and more sensible and wouldn't want to risk a stretch inside for a little punch up.
And the youngsters, who have only experienced the bubble trips of the derby wouldn't know what to do if they bumped into a few Jacks walking to the ground.
Or do you think I'm way off the mark with my opinions and both sets of fans would be well up for it and tear each other apart?

I think it would be mayhem

Its not bubble trips that have stopped hooligans. Its prison sentences and losing your job....when most of the 40-55 year olds have families and responsibilities. You may get a few kids who want to smash a pub up and go to prison for that but most are not willing to gamble their freedom for a ruck.If you think violence has gone away visit Merthyr or Tredegar on a Sat night

kids and men still love to fight, especially after a few beers.

100% Mayhem Luke, you could go as far as saying a bloody battlefield would occur.

world war 3 jacks would get smashed everywhere and they know it

Yes , I think there would be a lot of people missing from work that week

It would be the worst decision in decades and absolute carnage.
Wed Oct 30, 2013 2:41 pm
It will never ever happen again.
But it would be, and I'm not being OTT, like a war!
Could guarantee deaths..

Surprised by the over the top responses here, "mayhem" "carnage". I don't think so, not in this day and age. The ones from either side who would be brave enough to go under their own steam would be wrapped up before they left their villages
as the OP said, the taste is no longer there, as long as the supporters were kept apart, which they would easily be, then the most that would happen is isolated scuffles, end of

Think you're living in a fantasy world mate. Isolated scuffles

It would be widespread carnage. I dont know how anyone could possibly think any different.

Only their lads would come and they would cause a scene and get wrapped up quickly by old bill.

No fantasy world mate. I go week in, week out. If you believe that any large dissorder would occur, then its you living in fantasy land

The fact is that, we now go the West Ham, Millwall, Chelsea, Bristol and walk around freely and them to us without problems. with that in mind, why do you really believe that mass dis-order would occur between two very inactive mobs??

Spot on, just like every mob, anywhere in the country these days

Would be carnage at neath railway station, the bastards wouldn't get any further

If it wasn't a bubble then i think you could safely say most of the male population of south wales within fighting age would be out on the hunt. Similar to millwall 99
