Anyone in the know here on how much around it will cost?

Registering a company will stop anybody else using that exact company name, but as long as it's in a different trade, it won't necessarily stop somebody using a similar name.
Is there anybody else using the same/similar name already?

Its a brand name for a company that I want to use. The domain is already free so I know I can get that no problem. I have checked online and there's no company already with that name. Its a unique name. Its for a web business Owain as I want a more professional website to do work from now that can grow when the time is right.

If that is the case I would stick with the domain name for now. It's going to be more difficult for someone to steal the name if they haven't got the domain.
As for registering the company, operating through a limited company can be overkill for a small business, and you will need an accountant to help with company tax returns/filing of accounts.
I don't really think trademarking is something you'll need to worry about, but it could be something to look at further down the line (it's not cheap!)

Web Design & Development mate. Want to go through a business name to show I'm serious about it rather than just as a freelancer as people see freelancers as people just doing it on the side of another full time job. Want to show I'm fully committed to it.
Cheers as well.![]()

Got one more question...
There's a company thats dissolved and its not got no trademarks as I have checked etc. However there's another company that has a similar name.
For example;
Say theres a company called Blue Banana would Blue Banana Media be classed as a different company?
