We know exactly what you're about and how the red came about - you begged for it.
No amount of blue will take this away, ive been amazed over the last few days the amount of similar threads ive seen. As if we will forget aout everything that has gone on coz you stick a blue duffle coat on![]()
Surely this rally for blue is about 2 years too late, quite coincidental that you have finally found some pride now our game is days away isnt it

Not strictly true, but there we go.

Surely its common knowledge the rebrand went ahead after publicaly being scrapped due to overwhelming fan response?

Surely it's also common knowledge that if it wasn't for Tan, Cardiff City could have gone bust & fans simply wanted their club to remain in existence in any colour, not "begging for red" as you implied.
I also doubt the offer of withdrawing the rebrand... Kits have to be finalised well before the rebranding U-turn - the club couldn't have switched back, even if they wanted to.

You were in perfect position to drive him away, in fact, you did. He released a statement saying he will not go ahead with the rebrand and will find someone else to invest in you.
Then all hell broke loose with gwyns tears, malaysian flags (well thai actually), pink pyjamas, threats to the blues and offers of personal lifts from heathrow.

You asked if i really belive tan scrapped the blue due to fan reaction, yes is the answer....
'In the light of the vociferous opposition by a number of the fans to the proposals being considered as expressed directly to our local management and through various media and other outlets, we will not proceed with the proposed change of colour and logo and the team will continue to play in blue at home for the next season with the current badge.'

There is no way someone like Tan would release a statement like that and not follow through, he would not be a credible trustworthy businessman and would lose a lot of face and be branded a liar in front of the world.
There is no doubt in my mind that was your opportunity to retain your identity. He said he will seek other means of investment just not from him, so dont think you would have gone bust either and im not convinced you would have even without further investment and even your director said "it was never red or dead".
Thats why i find this whole scenario mental.

I don't believe that for a second. If debt was their worry then they wouldn't be continually calling for big signings. Nobody knows what Tan is going to do, he seems a fruit loop. The more debt you are in the more it COULD land you in. So if the finances were the main issue then its odd that when they were worse than ever people started to love it and call for even more signings.
The package was investment for red and the red was begged for. You cant tell me the majority accepted it purely for finances, look how many wore that red scarf on scarf gate, look how many red tops get sold, look at the lack of any sort of protest. Its been embraced and welcomed and im amazed.

I am the majority of who accepted it purely for finances and a lot are the same as me on that.
