I was expecting something like hurricane katrina the way the media built it up Lol guess i can come out of my storm shelter now then

Not even a puff of wind in Pontypridd....

All bleeding hype hardly a storm.

Sad to see the kid washed out to sea though.

Government conspiracy

A 17 year old girl has died after an uprooted tree collapsed on her house.

Whilst the storm may not be too vicious here, doesn't mean that it's not devastating in other areas.

A double decker bus blew over in Ipswich so must have been bad up there.

To put today's storm in context, in 1987 15 million trees were blown over and that meant having to switch off the national grid across the whole of South East England to stop it overheating.

The only missiles flying about in the air today were the eggs landing squarely on the faces of the rolling news channel controllers.

They had deployed their resources at strategic positions around the country in anticipation of a sensationalizing a natural disaster only for it to turn out to be the dampest of squibs.
