Standing up for exiles ticket away travel

Sun Oct 27, 2013 8:50 pm

Can anyone update what happened at travel meeting and were there any discussions on why travel club members don't have to quene, phone or go online like others?

I hope the club sort this ASAP. Terrible unfair system for exiles like me or non coach traveling fans. 8 of us been going for years on end being screwed by the current system.

I got to Norwich in the end but most didn't. Just wondering what club are doing about it after promising to look into it?

The club clearly messed up for the Norwich trip and as long as they rectify the mistake they made on that occasion, then I can't see how the Supporter's Travel groups are receiving preferential treatment!

They still have to contact the various organisers by popping into an office, phoning, texting, or e-mailing etc!

According to Carl's most recent update, which I'll link below, the club have set up what appears to be a very fair criteria and time-scale for all those who qualify for tickets to our away matches, to purchase them in plenty of time!

So long as those who travel independently qualify under the criteria, I can't see why so many people are showing so much resentment towards those who use the various travel groups!

If anybody can devise, or think of a way that the club can forecast which of our fans who travel independently to our away matches, will want tickets for whichever game, then please post your ideas on here and I'm sure that Carl or another of the travel group organisers will pass on the idea(s)!

To clarify, as long as the club set a fair criteria, it shouldn't matter whether you book your tickets independently through the club, or as part of one of the many supporter's groups, as if you've attended the requisite amount of games, you'll qualify for a ticket!

I attend whenever possible, but with location and work and family commitments it's difficult to set aside time to get to games.
However there are lots of Cardiff fans up here north of the borders and a supporters group has been mooted in the past.
Although I think it was more feesible in the Championship, due to the criteria and high demmand of tickets and allocations it's a lot more difficult in the Prem.
