Not done it myself but would in an emergency. I've got plenty of sticks ready for when the day comes.

If tell them to suck my balls. Sometimes in all seriousness it pays to be dishonest, say nothing to nobody then ring in or go home ill a day before. I sympathise with you though because you've been honest and they're being awkward.

If worst comes to worst tell one of the guy's that support's Utd/Arsenal that in exchange of covering your shift u'll give them your season ticket to lend for one of them matches.
If they only have gold tickets they ain't guarantied to get a ticket are they, then when it's time to cough up tell them to f**k off

I feel for you. I couldn't see our first ever league game in the new stadium at home to Scunthorpe because none of the tossers I worked with would cover me. I even went as far as offering money to bribe people!
