REALITY CHECK

Sun Oct 27, 2013 2:27 pm

Some of the negative comments on this Forum are unbelievable. What do you muppets really think was going happen this season!! Excluding Odemwingie, Medel & Caulker we are fielding players who were playing Championship Football last Season, and despite winning this league, were losing to clubs like Peterborough (home and away).

What were you really expecting to happen - the likes of Whittingham, Gunnarson, Taylor, Turner & Co would wake up one day and found that they had discovered skills they never knew they had and had transformed into PL players overnight.

The fact of the matter is that we have a largely Championship Team, and the only way we are going to compete in the PL and pick up the odd point here and there, is to play the way we have been playing. If we try and take the game to most teams in this division we will be slaughtered, and will definitely get relegated.

The reality is that we have to play ugly football to survive, because we have not got skillful players like Suarez who can win games single handed. Malky can only use the players he has at his disposal and he is playing the right tactics required to hopefully keep us in this league. The aim was only ever going to be survival in our first season and survival will be achieved if you let the guy who knows what he's doing, do his job!! :malky: :malky:

Finally someone with common sense. f**k me look at our team compared to the other teams in this leauge and we have had a few mind blowing results so far. Did people really expect Cardiff City to suddenly come up and be a top 4 team? Id be over the moon with just one season in the pl. Look where we were 10-20 years ago. Every game should be a party even if we 56-0 down at half time. We have become a right bunch of moaning, fickle cunts.

Precisely my thinking.
like malky said if we went in half time 1-0 at chelsea which would of happened without that silly goal it would of been a completely different game.

and your talking about a team who will be challenging for the title.

Our only hope is to keep grinding games hope the bottom 2 get worse and worse and we have a lucky year. and we are able to strengthen pre season and do the same again next year avoid the drop

Norwich were the favourites for the game so its not huge surpirse to see them do well.

I think the point away is excellent, it was very important we didnt lose the game.

A worry is our performance though, oter than set plays we rarely look like scoring and in most games we have had very little flow to the team.

9 games in and we are just where i imagined we would be, in and around the bottom, but doing ok really.

performances are a bit of a worry, especially the one on Saturday, but a win next week will shut up the majority of moaners.... for now anyway.

What I fine incredible is that I bet all these moaners said they would be happy with survival in out first season, and now they seem to think we should be top half. Where the f**k has that come from????

Enjoy the season whatever. If we stay up that's another excuse for a major party, if we don't we go again next season for promotion. Just enjoy the ride.

Too many posters on here who remind me of this 1 minute clip.....

I will be well happy if we stagger over the line and get that 17th spot.

then rebuild a bit more and slowly become an established premiership team over the next 3-4 seasons.

I think some on here think we can be bigger than Barcelona.

Thats exactly it. All it would have taken is a bit of practice on the fields up by Treforest Industrial Estate.
