I'm ashamed of you

Sat Oct 26, 2013 8:26 pm

Negative City Supporters.

Are you really SUPPORTERS?

All the teams around us lost
We drew away against a team who were desperate for a win
For only the second time we have kept a clean sheet
We are not in the bottom 3 despite us being in the Premier for the first time
Our players give EVERYTHING for the cause
Last fortnight saw a lot of shit going on in the background with off the field activities
Malky keeps his dignity and work ethic

And yet

We have posters on here who complain and say we should be better and Malky needs to do more/ get his team to play better do this and do that.........

Get a life and get real. We have adapted ever so well with a great team ethic. Yes it's not flowing football and not what some would like to see. But we are all learning and its about time some of you get back to class and understand this.

Rant over. Now bog off and support the boys in the best possible way - with your support not negative comments. :ayatollah:

Agreed.

I love it when certain fans blast Malky for his 'inept tactics', yet only offer buzz words such as 'get forward more' and 'don't be so negative' to help improve the team, being the tactical masterminds they are.

If Malky was to get sacked now, we'd be an absolute laughing stock(even more so than we currently are).

Our style will get better if we stay up and strengthen, Some of our fans are being very impatient and expecting to see us win all the time.

absolutely spot on why isnt this a sticky (oh I know :? )

some fans need to forget the joys of the championship and face reality of the premiership and we are doing well

Hate the fickleness amongst some football fans.a lot of our fans are only used to seeing success due to our recent seasons which have included cup finals and obviously our recent promotion.god knows how they would have coped in the dungeon days!! probably wouldnt even entertain watching them to be honest.no one likes to see their team lose especially on the big stage now were finally their.and if fairy tales were true we would be romping away with the prem title already but back to reality we are i believe holding our own.we have made a big step up and still finding our feet.and on top of that the players and manager are haveing to battle to keep focused in spite of many parts of our club being a debacle.keep the faith people we are still in the prem,we are still privaleged to be able to see our boys in the division they should have been in years ago. blllllluuuuuuuebirds :ayatollah:

Re: I'm ashamed of you

Sat Oct 26, 2013 10:26 pm

Norwich dropped two points today and we are moaning, we need to average around a point a game and we are, the original plan was clearly to play Cornelius as a target man with our midfield backing up, so 4-5-1, we are already at plan B, why are we moaning

Re: I'm ashamed of you

Sat Oct 26, 2013 10:27 pm

Malky we trust! Last we week or so had support for him with situation with Tan, yes premiership is a tough division. He got us there. We draw with Norwich and I reckon he may be gone if performance don't improve especially when we play jack. When we play the jack he may be gone if we lose. who would we replace him with? I can believe how fickle we are I got total faith with Malky. We know it's was going to tough at premiership, and playing away from home think we done well to get a point today. Be honest I don't care what league we in alway support bluebirds. But sentiment don't sell seats and shirts. .
I got total faith in Malky and squad, onward and upwards.

Agree with the top post :ayatollah:

The negativity (usually from a predictable few) is culpable on times

And that's not me wearing rose-tinted spectacles. it's more me seeing our glass as half-full rather than half-empty; but then again, I can remember the REALLY bad times and don't particularly want to go back there ;)

Re: I'm ashamed of you

We cannot go into every game with a park the bus attitude.
If we do we will be relegated by late February.

That's not panic,or negativity that's just common f*cking sense.

I agree some games it's vital to keep the door shut at all costs, but we cannot play for a point all the time.

If we back off the Jacks and give them time to build up and play,we will be licking our wounds next Sunday evening.

Was not there yesterday but watch the game via a link, wonders of modern technology.

To me it does feel like the old days when we struggled with the football in the lower divisions. At least this time it is against the best and not the dross.

Re: I'm ashamed of you

Sun Oct 27, 2013 9:22 am

Can't moan at collecting a point. How can anyone moan about playing badly and coming away better off than we were.

Many teams would have folded, at least we showed spirit, which slot of struggling teams never show.

Time for people to look around and realise where we are. We would have walked to the ground to have been in this position a few years ago, and now because we are premier league people think we have a divine right to beat Norwich.

Coming away from home anywhere with a point is invaluable. Let's remember who we are and where we have come from. We aren't world beaters, we are newly promoted, with a manager without top flight experience and a club that's not graced the top div in many many years. We aren't coming in with the infrastructure fully in place. We don't have a complete squad for this level, we all know that. So let's survive a season an build on solid foundations not quick sand.

And always remember we have no idea what goes on in the training ground or why malky make the decisions he does. But after everything that has happened we need to back malky, because in malky we trust.

Any point away from home is a great point . Massive pressure on Norwich to win that one and yet couldn't break us . Said in a post in the summer , large chunk of our fans won't be able to handle premiership . Many have known nothing but a relatively successful championship side but you can't expect to win half as many games as a typical champ season in the prem . Playing some of the best club teams in the world for f**k sake.

Well said, some of our fan base are cringeworthy. We are competing in the premier League for the first time, we are doing what we have to do, may not be pretty but it is getting us by.malky is still learning, we all knew that, the posters that say, I love Malky but .... Make me laugh, last week they were slagging off Vt when they thought Malky might go, the same people are having a dig at Malky in their own way .. Pathetic . So if Vt said , I love Malky but ... Then that wld be ok. We are blessed with a lot of fickle fans. Rant over, support the team and the manager.

i think everybody going yesterday due to the position of norwich were expecting a performance similar to fulham away when in fact for the majority it was like spurs at home. the re ocurring theme of marshall being man of the match does not bode well for us.
we seem very limited going forward and our biggest threat is from corners or set pieces but even then teams have learnt how to put us on the back foot from them by breaking quickly if they win the ball.
i think malky is relying on cornelius coming into the team to be able to hold the ball up front a bit better but in reality if that is the case he has no plan B it seems.
the stats dont lie we are up there with the most shots against and fewest shots on target if that continues there will be only one outcome
its not negativity its the harsh facts that we are trying to compete in the premier league with a championship midfield

Re: I'm ashamed of you

Sun Oct 27, 2013 10:57 am

I disagree with the OP, and the majority of posters on this thread.

Yes, we got a point, and all points count.

However, for me, that's where it ends in terms of yesterday. We got that point because we were f*cking lucky - Norwich should have put three or four goals on us. Norwich can't buy a goal at the moment and we nearly gifted them several; we allowed a team with a toothless attack to come and have a go at us time and time again, and we made them look good.

Somebody mentioned Fulham a few posts back - we played that game like we owned their ground and were in their faces from start to finish. Why couldn't we have done that yesterday? Fulham are arguably a much better attacking side than Norwich.

Bottom line for me is - yes, we got the point - but we didn't deserve it with such a shite performance. I'm not calling for Malky's head and I wouldn't call myself fickle; only realistic. These people who are more than happy with the outcome of yesterday's game need to realise we were playing a team who were with us in the Championship only a couple of years ago. We attacked Chelsea with more vigour last week.

If we're going to be all defensive every week, then we need to be as well drilled and as organised as we were against Man Citeh. As it was yesterday, we might as well have just sent Marshall and Campbell out there and told them to do their best.

Wasn't referring to Norwich as one if those teams mate , thought that was obvious from my post . Was happy with a point was yesterday's game and from 9 points from 9 games . Dec games will be a large part in determining our season

Re: I'm ashamed of you

Sun Oct 27, 2013 11:17 am

Totally agree, was talking to a Stoke fan in the summer and he said to me "forget the top 6/7 teams any points you get off them is a bonus, any points you pick up away is a bonus but you need to win your home games", . Yesterdays result was a bonus point for us. As stated teams like Norwich need to win their home games against the lesser teams like us. This is the Premier league, we are not world beaters.A very GOOD point yesterday :malky:
