Working for Lothian up in Edinburgh, was just wondering what the conditions are like at CB and what the wage was.
Also did you guys have to fork out for your own CPC or did they put you through it?.

Step Dad works for them. Hes never had a real issue. He takes all the overtime he can get and Pembrooke is right, there is plenty of it!!
He worked there years ago and after leaving for a few years he went back. So cant be too bad

Yeah I work for them.
CPC gets paid by the company, paid weekly, takes 4 years to get to the top rate which varies between £9.26 and £18.50 an hour depending on what day and time your working and if yu doing O/T.
We've got the mix telematics machines in the buses they been there for about 2 years now, if your not familiar with them they read how your driving (harsh braking, harsh acceleration etc).
Up till now plenty of O/T available plus paid breaks, so if you do yu normal shift plus 3 hours O/T you get paid from the time you sign in until the time you sign out.
Big cuts looming on the concessionary cards for disabled and over 60's which will probably see cuts in O/T and rest day working.
Even small misdemeanours can lead to disciplinary action and they sack drivers at an alarming rate.
30 new buses being introduced in the next 2 months (Alexander Dennis x10 and 20 Mercs)
I've been there for 4 1/2 years and all being well will stay till I retire (I'm 60), cos it's better than working lol.
Bit of a b*stard to try and get down the City though because of shifts especially now we're in the Prem.
