MALKY HITS OUT AT MOURINHO AND NEVILLE

Cardiff manager Malky Mackay has told Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho and Sky pundit Gary Neville that he is not interested in what they have had to say about the Bluebirds and the west London club’s controversial goal last weekend.

Samuel Eto’o took the ball away from David Marshall when he appeared to be bouncing the ball before Eden Hazard grabbed the goal and Mackay revealed that he has spoken to referees chief Mike Riley.

Mourinho accused Cardiff of time-wasting throughout the game while Neville said that Marshall was naive to do what he did.

Those comments riled the Bluebirds boss and he made his own riposte.

“I’m not interested in what any other manager or any pundit or expert has got to say about my goalkeeper. I’m not interested in their advice at all,” said Mackay.

“What David Marshall did was within the laws of the game it was a completely acceptable thing to do. It was the referee who got it wrong, Samuel Eto’o was in the wrong too and he should have been punished by an indirect free-kick being awarded to us. David Marshall should not be judged by anyone because he did not do anything wrong.

“I spoke to Mike Riley earlier in the week, but have not had an official response yet. I was really just seeking some kind of clarification about the whole situation.”
