Putting your managerial cap on.....

Thu Oct 24, 2013 6:57 pm

What would be your team selection to play Norwich away on saturday? Im sure we will all have enough to say if MM gets in wrong saturday so put your money were your mouth is and put down your starting 11, lets be honest if you do well theres a fair chance you could be sitting in the dugout if VT agrees with you and reads this board

I think we need to try something a bit different in games were we have a slight chance of getting something, Im happy to play one up front and pack the midfield against the big boys but why not try 4-4-2 against the likes of Norwich (no disrespect to them i am clearly aware they may well give us a lesson at Carrow Road) but I just dont think we are getting enough goal scoring opportunities with one up front, so lets try a more conventional attacking approach for this game.

We should not flog to death the 4-5-1 formation, we did that in the Kenny miller days and we got found out later in the season, other managers knew what to expect when playing us playing that formation time and time again.

The only problem with a 4-4-2 in the Prem is that the midfield gets overwhelmed quite easily seen as most teams play a 4-3-3 variant or a 4-2-3-1.

I'd like to see those same players in a 4-2-3-1'
Campbell up top, Odemwingie right, Bellers left, Mutch alongside Gary with Kim in front.
But, I expect to see Bellers right, Whitts left, no Kim, no Campbell, But Cowie alongside Gary & PO up front.

A few picking Noone who hasn't featured at all and I'm sure will not make squad as I believe he was in a foot brace after development game after coming off

If so then that is a huge shame. We have been crying out for some width and pace all season and Noone is pretty much our only player who can do that.

Should have kept Harris here a given him a chance better than Noone IMO.
