Mark Lawrenson's predictionsFor different reasons, the future of Norwich manager Chris Hughton and Cardiff boss Malky Mackay has been questioned in the last few weeks and I think that will continue for whoever loses at Carrow Road on Saturday.
For Norwich in particular, this is the first of a run of home games where they need to pick up some wins.
They have got some difficult away trips coming up too but, as well as Cardiff, they host West Ham and Crystal Palace in the next month or so - and they need to win a couple of those.
I think they will get the result they want against Cardiff, which will cause more problems for Mackay. The uncertainty about his job has not gone away. He should not be under pressure because of results but, if they now lose some games, things will be even worse.
Lawro's prediction: 2-1 Tony Merson predictionsCardiff were very unlucky against Chelsea last week. Chelsea may well have gone on and won the game anyway, but the equalising goal should never have stood and the referee has dropped a clanger. For me, Cardiff are hot and cold. They were very hot at Fulham, cold in the first-half against Newcastle and cold in the second. They started well against Chelsea, but they got picked off for fun the longer it went on. As for Norwich, I watched them at Arsenal last week and for all of Arsenal's great football Norwich looked like they could have got an equaliser when it got to 2-1 - but it went the other way. I don't think Norwich are playing badly, but they are losing the either-way games and that's a problem. They have to win here and I think they will.

If we fail to beat Cardiff AND one of either West Ham or Palace at home then yes I will join the Hughton out brigade.

My guess is that he has the next 3 home games, anything less than 6 points out of those and he will be sacked, so likely he would survive if we lose on Saturday but the pressure will be mounting

It would be a punch in the gut to lose at home to Cardiff, but it wouldn't be a deal breaker. It all depends on how we play. For example, we're up 1-0 and the visitors are given a dubious PK and follow it with a second goal in stopage. These things happen. The refs have been so bad this season. I know, I know, it's a poor supporter who blames the officials. But really, they've been all over the place and it has ruined more than a few games. So that is something to consider.
For me to jump on the Hughton Out wagon, it will take more than just a few more disappointing home losses. But if we don't start climbing the table in the nest 6 games, I'd say it's time to consider a change.

It will be tense - don't expect too many goals. Either 1-0 Norwich or 1-1 (we rarely score twice). If the latter it could be goodbye Chris. OTBC.
