Old City songs long forgotten

Wed Oct 23, 2013 5:53 pm

For some reason out of the blue an old City song came into my head earlier today. How many on here remember it? What others do you remember?

We come from the Valleys where the grass is green,
We're the hardest fans you've ever seen,
We don't tell stories and we don't tell tales,
We are the boys from South Wales. :ayatollah:

Over there, over there, and do they smell, like f*cking hell.

Your going home in a f*cking ambulance.

Jeremy the sugar puff bear as bought some boots and cropped his hair, today's the day that Jeremy joins the skinheads.

His name is Jimmy Scoular he's the leader of the blues, we never get beat in division two, we never ever lose, he'l take us to division one , coz that's where we belong, and when you see the boys in blue you know you'd better run,

Come and join us, come and join us, in the Grangend Ninian park.

Your going home like Sandy Richardson.
Your gonna get your f*cking heads kicked in. 3 charming songs

Ahhh, love to remember the classics. Some more:

1. If you standing on a corner, with a Swansea scarf round your neck...(To the Liver Birds tune).
2. A.G; A.G,R; A,G,R,O; AGRO!
3. Hemmerman, Hemmerman, Jeffrey Hemmerman......

And my simple all-time favourite and which should be revived at once....Kayaaaardiff.

And 'I Was Born' was supposed to be 'Stand' but as I remember, just as many sang 'Star'.

This one to the tune of the Bachelor boy.....heard plenty of times in the Napier or Westgate and on Mikey Gayle's bus!

When I was young my father said
"Son I have something to say"
And what he told me I'll never forget
Until my dyin' day.
He said "Son you are a City Fan
And that's the way to stay.
Son, you be a City fan until your dyin' day
