Revealed: Cardiff City officially the most English team in the Premier League

Our study reveals Cardiff have used more English players than any other Premier League side this year, but not as many Welshmen as Swansea.
Cardiff City are the most English team in the Premier League!
That’s the shock finding of a specially commissioned investigation by WalesOnline.
After analysing the nationalities of players used by all 20 Premier League clubs this season, we discovered that 45% of those who have worn the Bluebirds shirt since the season began are English.
By contrast just one in five of those used by Newcastle have been English – the lowest proportion in the entire league.
Our findings also reveal that of the 414 players used so far this season in the Premier League, more than 60% have been from outside the UK.
The wide-ranging analysis comes as concerns continue over the scale of the influx of foreign players into the Premier League, and in particular the impact it has on the fortunes of the England national side.
Swansea City meanwhile are only marginally in front of Newcastle in their use of English players – one per cent to be precise.
Just four Swans who have taken the field in the top flight this season have hailed from the other side of the Severn Bridge – Jonjo Shelvey, Leon Britton, Wayne Routledge and Nathan Dyer.
However, the Swans have played three Welsh players in the Premier League this season (Ashley Williams, Ben Davies, Neil Taylor) compared to Cardiff's two (Declan John and Craig Bellamy).
The rest of the Swans' Premier League performers has been made up of eight Spaniards, three Dutch players, a South Korean and an Ivory Coast international in Wilfried Bony

what a bunch of fucktards, 'revealed' we knew that when the league teams came out its in black and white on clubs squad lists. making our theyve had a commission investigation like their some kind of government body. give me a break like!

Not necessarily. They may be English players but they are in are in Wales and we're not singing Wales is full of shit are we?!

Who cares how many English players we have? At least we have British players in our ranks unlike most clubs in this division, We are still a Welsh club so it makes no difference to me.
