I parked on double yellow where I live to go to the cashpoint, while I was there the traffic warden saw my van and made his way over, smiling and rubbing his hands my I add. I run back to the van jumped in and spinoff before he even put pen to paper, he shouted at me he can still send it in the post. Can he do this? If it comes I'll pay it just wondering if its legal.

I thought they had to put it on your windscreen and take a picture as evidence that they had given it to you... maybe I am wrong.
But in Port Talbot I got let off when I got back to the car before the warden finished as he said as long as you leave before i put it on the car then thats that.

I think you'll be OK on this one as I think they've actually got to put the ticket on your car.But someone else may know better.

Unless he's got photographic evidence I don't think you can get a fine. Otherwise the traffic wardens in the uk would be sending out tickets to everyone they see driving past
