Tremendous support! If my memory serves me right, Derry City played in the Bogside, which was an IRA stronghold. It took great nerve for those lads to travel out there at the height of the troubles in Northern Ireland. Did hear, though, that the locals went out of their way to avoid any trouble, and the City fans had a decent reception. 0-0 was it?

Goes without saying that I only went to the game at Ninian Park. Won 4-0.

Very true, the coach had to have protection going through the areas, but not just normal police. In the end, everyone was friendly
