Unbeaten in Dec?

Tue Oct 22, 2013 9:56 am

After a very tough november where we be lucky to get 4 points we have a potential to go unbeaten in december.

Stoke away
Palace away
Wba home
Liverpool away
Saints home boxing day
Sunderland home

I think we can get a draw at anfield and saints home, the others are teams we can beat. If we want to stay up these are the teams we got to be taking 3 points off.

Run of games up to xmas and i really believe this is where we will stand on new years day

Norwich - Win
Swansea - Draw
Villa - Lose
United - Draw
Arsenal - Lose
Stoke - Win
Palace - Win
West Brom - Draw
Liverpool - Lose
Southampton - Draw
Sunderland - Win

That would put us on 24 points and i would be very pleased with that, means another 16/17 after xmas would keep us up, plus with the games in jan we need to put ourselves in a healthy postion before then

Five points in the next five games sets us up nicely for December...were doing OK lads, four tough home games so far and have not played the "whipping" boys yet ...unlike some clubs not too far away! :malky: :malky: :malky:

If we got 2 wins and 2 draws in december id be more than happy really.

wins needed against sunderland and palace. draws against stoke and the baggies. can see us being torn apart by the saints. and beaten by liverpool, esp since they may be coming off a defeat at the lane

whilst the thread is looking into the future..... If by January we are bottom 3, do you think we should change manager? :malky:

if we are bottom 3 by jan, i am sure MM will be gone, i dont know if it would be the right thing to do, depends on who he would bring in.

With a really tough November and January, I think we will have no more than 20 points by the end of January, but with almost all of the most difficult away fixtures done. From then its all about going on a run and stopping the other teams around us from beating us. It may not be pretty but is probably what's going to be needed to survive.
