' Where does Vincent Tan go from here?
The Media have turned against him, even some of the Malaysian media have.
Every tabloid I read on Sunday and yesterday had sarcastic digs at him in most of the Chelsea/Cardiff write ups.
The week leading up to the match, many said he had made us a laughing stock.
Fans in my opinion, have lost respect for him. I'm talking about fans that are not my friends, local shop keepers,to bank staff to fans I bump in to in the streets of Cardiff.
At Chelsea many fans said they had no time for him anymore.
FB, some fans have turned evil against him.
Maybe I am wrong and there is still big support for him?
One thing Tan does not like is the media against him and he likes to be worshipped.
Whats your honest opinion of Vincent Tan nowadays ?
Where does Vincent Tan go from here?
No Sarcasm to each other please or name calling, a proper debate/opinions please

My guess is he'll carry on regardless.I think the people rubbing their hands in joy at the prospect of Tan leaving are going to be disappointed for now.
Tue Oct 22, 2013 7:32 am
If, as likely we are in the bottom six at Xmas and he puts up a large amount for transfers. Maybe the opinions will change?
Tue Oct 22, 2013 7:47 am
He will carry on ,the media are getting desperate and are recycling old stories ,I can only go on what said on here and people who come in my pub and I think tans position is the same ,some on here have maybe change slightly there opinions on tan ,but talking to people who came to watch the game in my pub in Saturday and there's a lot of support for tan ,theres definitely a split from areas, seems like people who are from Cardiff are more against tan than people from the valleys etc ,would be intresting to do a survey on the rebrand and see people's opinions from different areas on the rebrand and tan,

Tans and Malkys popularity will be decided by results and nothing else
Tue Oct 22, 2013 7:54 am
Annis I see where your coming from Mate, but do you really think Tan gives a shit?
All he will see is his name and his club in the headlines. The details of the topic he will pay little interest in.
That's the sad truth.
Malky should Say to Tan "you want me gone they pay me off"...

Agree we lose our next two matches and malkys job will rightly been in doubt
Tue Oct 22, 2013 7:56 am
I don't like tan, simply because of the rebrand,I don't understand why he didn't buy a club who already played in red,he keeps saying its a lucky colour, that's just a myth, the reason we got promoted is because he increased the budget malky had to work with
Tue Oct 22, 2013 8:13 am
He should firstly never let SH near the club or listen to anything he has to say....
Tue Oct 22, 2013 8:30 am
100% convinced that Tan leaving us is the only way forward. Talking to a few people recently who have been sitting on the fence about Tan now all agree that he has to go.
Tue Oct 22, 2013 8:39 am
I like many others reluctantly accepted the rebrand, however he has gone one step too far now. I think it is a matter of time before Malky departs either resigning when the right job comes up or Tan sacks him.
What bothers me is who will Tan employ as our next manager? - another one of his cronies ?
Tan is professional when it comes to his normal business dealings, but is a useless, clueless amateur when it comes to running a football club.
I have waited 51 years to get to the promised land, but I fear our dream is falling apart big time - I hope I am very wrong

Exactly, we are a fickle lot regarding owners managers etc. I still laugh at the Rick Wright era, one week he was king , he did something and the week later the chant was "he's bald, he's fat, he's nothing but a tw*t, Ricky Wright, Ricky Wright"

What he needs to do, is get a good CEO into the club, someone who knows football, knows the culture and can deal with the press, and can stand up to him and tell it as it is to VT.

I agree with this completely.
Although I can't see it ever happening as Tan likes to surround himself with 'yes men' and all his previous actions suggest he won't.

Personally, I gave Tan a lot of leeway in my opinion of him because he delivered us to the Premier League. I hated the re-branding, but was what some people call a "reluctant red", as I could see the benefits associated with the re-branding.
However, after the most recent debacle, I've completely lost patience with the imbecile. I will never stop supporting City, but it is becoming increasingly more difficult with him at the helm. As the media have suggested, we've become a bit of a laughing stock. All we can do as a group of fans is let him know of our displeasure, and hope he takes some of it on board. But after him comparing our great club with a cinema, and us with its customers, I don't hold out much hope

i didnt read of anyone liking the glazers at united for the first few years they were there. They had bad press both sides of the pond. They seemed to have done ok.
If we stay up, buy well in jan, then tan wont be seen as he is now.
Im not saying he will be liked, but how many owners really are liked these days, most have a gripe. People hated Simon Jordan at palace, but he done everything for that club, and id suggest people read his book to see what he was fighting against.
I agree with Gwyn, we need a CEO that loves football and knows the game a bit more. But then again i doubt any of us have much to do with LIM, so we are all going off paper talk.
Tue Oct 22, 2013 9:37 am
VT has previously said that he can take come criticism...but not too much before he walks.
In many ways, VT has stuck to his word on many issues...so Perhaps, yes he will now go..

Annis, Tans "Loss of face" has been so well publicised throughout the world of journalism I honestly would not be surprised if we don't see the Mad Emperor around Cardiff again.
Unfortunately I do believe that Malky is as good as gone too, how can he stay after the way he has been treated?
As for the Moody saga being a "Mistake", some mistake , it has destroyed the club. Thanks Vinnie Boy!!!!

And this may well be the way things will go for us.If we stay up this season and make a couple of big signings it'll all be quickly forgotten.

I think the saints chairman wasnt exactly well liked last season, esp getting rid of atkins, but he must be loved now finding that gem of a manager

You cannot compare us and Southampton though. Cortez's replaced a good manager with an outstanding one.
Tan replaced a "gem" (Malky's words) with an inexperienced painter who was on work experience.

So I'm not allowed to post my thoughts on that? Why not?
I don't know what he got a degree in, but it's widely reported that he was painting the corridors of the CCS.
He may well be brighter than many (though that's just a guess from you) but intelligence doesn't mean he would be any good at a football club.
I'd much rather someone with excellent football experiences and references (Moody) than someone who has a first from Oxford, as an example.

Nobody knows what this kazak does. Let's forget him. The guy got a title, he doesn't do the job I'd bet. And malky has the last say so what does it matter. We have a team of scouts, its not like we lost them all,

Your allowed your opinion but he isn't a painter is he ? So are you a painter cause you might have painted your kitchen in your house or a mechanical engineer cause you fixed a car or something ?

No, let's not just "forget" him.
Tan undermined MM by ditching his right hand man & replaced with "this Kazakh". I can't believe that some fans are still willing to ignore Tan's actions because he lent some money to the club.

Well don't tell me to change the record then.
No, because I did that for myself. If I was doing it for someone else and getting something in return, I would be.
Still, doesn't cover your point that he's intelligent. Stephen Hawkin is one of the most intelligent men in the world, does that mean he would be better than Iain Moody?

why did Tan sack him?
when you can answer that then you can say Tan 100% undermined Malky
