No it's not, I will take a point right now, we still have Sunderland, Palace, Hull, Fulham, Norwich, Villa, Stoke, West Ham and West Brom all to play at home and these are all games we can win if at our best. I think we will take at least a point against the jacks too. Our home form is the key, if we lose at Norwich it's not the end of the world. Our "easiest" home game so far has been against Newcastle. We will pick up lots of points at home against the teams that are currently down there around us. Stop over reacting!

Hwever its not as bleak as you may think with Stoke away at Man Utd and Hammers away to us. If you do lose, you will be in the relegation zone but should still be within touching distance of both those clubs.

His point was, if you lose you are in the relegation zone. Which is true.

He just worded it as "must win" which was the mistake as of course you could draw and still be 1 place above.

I wouldn't dub it as a must win so early on this season but it is definitely one we should be looking to pick points up. Next moth is very difficult so we need to get some points on the board.

I agree with that. I'd rather we try and pull away from it that be stuck in there for a few weeks.

To say it "doesnt matter" is a little naive. Of course it matters, however it doesnt have its biggest impact until may. Not only does being in the relegation zone put an extra exerted pressure on your players and manager, be there by xmas and players who may have gone to you if you were in 12th for example may not fancy going to a team in a dog fight etc.

However the fella that created this thread was clearly saying if you lose then you are in the relegation zone. Im sure he wasnt mentioning the implication of that for the rest of the season, it seems some are a little touchy.
