Malky's negative tactics

Mon Oct 21, 2013 4:12 pm

I am at a loss to understand some of the muppets on this forum who are slagging off Malky's negative tactics. Going into games with a gung-ho attack attack attack philosophy is only going to end in tears for you. I think, in some ways, beating Manchester City could be a negative for you as fans expectations are clearly way above where you actually are. Eight points from eight games is not a bad return to date (that's thirty eight for the season if the trend continues). Don't think your strikers are PL material and you may well struggle on that front. Think you will need to strengthen in January and recent events have not helped there.

Very sensible view. It showed Saturday that we can't just go all out against certain teams. Malky will learn from the game. Defensive style has worked before and will continue to suit our players IMO. Set-pieces will be vital this year, as I just don't have confidence in us from open play.

Overall it will be a long season but I think so long as Malky stays we have what it takes to stay up. :ayatollah:
