Bluebirds Unite

Mon Oct 21, 2013 12:12 pm

Now I posted up on the bluebirds unite site but it was not posted and taken into consideration. This is what I posted.

BLUEBIRDS UNITE !!: So everywhere I look I see messages either from the BU (Bluebirds Unite) or about the BU. What people need to realise is as fans of this football club to Vincent Tan we come under the category B, which means we have a high level of interest but a low level of power so we come under "keep informed". Now for the BU to work affectively they must realise that they need to target people in the category c which could mean people of a high power but low interest or even target people with a high power and high interest which is category D. Now they can make one of these categories take action by doing a petition, lobbying etc. Thing is who other than the players are in category C or D which us fans in category B can target and hope they do something to change? No one other than Vincent Tan himself, especially if he does own 98 per cent of Cardiff City next month then there is no way that doing a petition or lobbying or going on the radio to voice your views is going to work. Bluebirds Unite need to seriously re think their strategy if they really want to see Cardiff City back in blue.

I want to see Cardiff City FC back in blue like a lot of people and when BU first come around there was a bit of hope. But what now? They seem to have hit a brick wall and have no idea of how to get around it. To be honest, its run by idiots and followed by idiots. Before as fans we had a high power and high interest which meant we could have fought more but times change, there is not enough people who are willing to do that anymore. The money is not with the fans. So now to try and get back to blue we have to change our way of thinking and be smart about things rather than open up a group which seems all they want to do is jump on the radio and get people to sign petitions, there is no thought behind it. Football has changed its not a sport anymore but a business so you need to think like a business to get what you want.

Insults from both of you. Tan would be proud, he doesn't respect Cardiff City fans either.

I would suggest BU to add "Cardiff City" on the LOGO to attract Mr Abraham. He will get the numbers, the PR and BU will be BIGGER over night..simples!

Man United have 200,000 members in a group to get the Glazer family out, they hope to go worldwide, they are organised and have done some good things. Makes BU look small time and really badly organised (not having a dig at bu before anyone cyber bashes me) but even with all this, the Glazers don't seem bothered by them or threatened.
If they can't do it, it shows we have absolutely no hope in hell with a smaller group and a few thousand names on paper.

Why is it an insult to want blue back but not through BU

I insult bluebirds unite and its members. What do you think bluebirds unite really want? I am pretty sure they want the fame and power rather than Cardiff city back in blue.

Nedd, playing devils advocat here, BU members (not the commitee I may add) are insulting newer fans all the time.

Instead of "uniting" them as it says on the tin they are bashing them at every opportunity and its not really clever in the grand scheme of things. Well not the best way to convert people around to a certaqin way of thinking.

The latest T-shirt, as witty as it is, "Where were you whilst we were getting high?" thats another dig at newer fans.

So do Bluebirds Unite want to to unite all Bluebirds, or just the 3000 hardy souls who kept following us when we were proper shit?

It's understandable that people feel let down by their fellow fans, I know I do. I don't agree with all of the actions by some, on the blue side and the Tan side, though.

I still have some great days out with my fellow CCFC fans and I'm hopeful that my negative feeling towards certain things will disappear and I'll renew my season ticket. If I don't, then I'll be gone forever - much to the disappointment of my son, if nobody else!
