puts is hand in is pocket in January for new players. do you think Malky will target forward thinking players rather then players who stops the opposition playing (that's if Malky is here in January). I honestly feel we need someone with the killer instinct up front.

If Malky is still there at Christmas ( and there must still be some doubt about that) then upfront is an area he really needs to think about.
Malky's philosophy since he joined us ( and even more so this season) has been to make us hard to beat. Indeed the two most expensive players purchased this summer were defensive minded players which would tend to suggest that Malky's priority this season has been on defensive matters, perhaps understandable as a former defender himself.
We've not started one game this season with two up front.
If Cornelius had been fit maybe we would have but not yet and apart from West Ham and Fulham, we have had only about 35% of the possession in each game. Now I know possession is not the be all and end all - after all we beat Man City with only about 30% possession, but without the ball you are not going to score goals, and the more chasing around after the ball we have to do when the opposition have it is inevitably going to tire us out.
The fact that we've lost half of our first eight games whilst keeping only one clean sheet would tend to suggest that Malky's approach is not working. I wish he would be a little more adventurous in our attacking play. i am not suggesting that we go gung-ho in every game but the current defensive minded approach is not working.

Davids all good points, I know we cant push forward at will in this league but take the Newcastle game 2 nil down so he takes a forward off and replaces him with another, whats wrong with having a wide player on with 2 up front, just my opinion.
