He's shown qualities in the DVP squad, yes. But he hasn't even played regular first team football at Championship level, why do people think he's ready to step up to PL football!?
IMO Malky has done the right thing, he needs a long loan in L1 and the Champ, then he can be tested higher.
Absolutely crazy how people think he's ready for arguably the biggest league in the world....

Luckily for most of the other teams in the PL their manager doesnt think like you.
If youre good enough your old enough.

I'm not talking age, im talking experience, and the gulf in quality between the DVP and PL

talk about stating the obvious!
there is a difference in class between the DVP and the PL is there....? never knew that![]()
Harris has shown promise in every game he has played this season, be it friendly or DVP. Didnt get a look in in the cup which was a shame, but he can only play against the level he is put at.
Surely its not much of a reach to suggest a young player showing huge amount of promise can make the step up? how do you think every other young player started?
Steven Gerrard for example? if you were his manager he would still be in the reserves as hes "untested at this level"

Im sure Malky knows better than you and will play him when he is ready.

Mario Polotelli wrote:Loads of unknown kids making the breakthrough at PL level this last couple of years. What experience did they have other than development football??
Not saying the loan route isnt a good option, it can be, but its not a must as the likes of Davies (Swansea), Shaw (Southampton), Sterling (Liverpool), the kid at United whos name I cant spell, Andre Wisdom (Liverpool) have come in and done well. Theres many more.
And considering we have no pace in the team, and not much creativity then why is it so beyond the realms of possibility some of us thinking the kid could have been given a chance??
He also got more experience than all of the kids I mentioned above as he has already had a season of 1st team football at Wycombe.
