Looking at it again I thought that Eto had managed to get back so he was behind Hazard when Hazard passed back to him, so not offside. They said this morning on Sky that the ball hit Eto on it's way into the net as he was lying on the floor ( having been pulverised by Gary Medel!) and he was offside at that time.
Fact is that the play shouldn't have got that far - ref should have blown his whistle when Eto first touched the ball.
Having said that, stupid, stupid thing to do by Marshall. Great goalie but yesterday was his worst game for us since the 5-4 debacle last season at Charlton where he was also culpable for three of their goals.

Don't agree sorry, he bounced the ball and was in control. Poor officiating, it was a foul. End of

Absolutely agree with you that it was a foul. But why does he need to bounce the ball, especailly with an opposing forward nearby? What if it had bounced off his foot giving Eto the chance to get the ball?
Absolutely no need to be bouncing the ball at all. Keep an eye on where the player is and just kick it without bouncing it first. Stuoid decision by Marshall. If there's a player near you, never let go of the ball unless you are kicking it or throwing it.

He can bounce it all day long as long as he's in control of it, which he was. It was a bad decision from the officials, not marshall. I've seen hundreds of keepers do it throughout the years. I dont understand how anyone can even contemplate laying blame on Marshall, he just did what any keeper does on the whole.

He's been so good for us the past few years that you have to forgive one bad performance, which ultimately he will learn from
