Had that goal been the 3rd or 4th then it's a different matter, but every true football fan knows that the 1st goal is always the most important of any game.
Before that cheating by 2 officials, our keeper had not had a major save to make.
No one will ever know if we would have finished 1-0 at the end, but having watched football for over 40 years, I have seen loads of games where sided have been more on top than Chelsea and still lost (including us).
I would have loved to have seen the reactions in the ground if that decision had been at the other end of the pitch. The ref would not have got out alive.
