Right lads
But of time away from gamblers den cos in hogging it lol
Honest opinions of bottom three now as we stand
With Sunderland performing poorly still Norwich struggling and palace ALS not good enough
I'd say these are my bottom three now
I believe isaid hull palace and Norwich at start of season so interesting how my opinion has already changed
We could be dragged into this as I have a feelin it could be very tight at the bottom and also very low points tally
What with Sunderland only on 1 point after playing 8 games can't see them hitting 30 same goes for palace on 3 our hope is that Norwich are terrible Fulham also awful and so are stoke
I see the five mentioned and us battling it out for bottom 6 and 33/34 points may be enough this year
Time will tell gonna be a long hard season
Hoping for some realistic responses lads and no silly drivel please

We will be relegated this season IMO. It's just my positive side coming out.

I can honestly see your point and initially before posting I thought yes it could be us but seeing the five mentioned around us I honestly think we can beat all these teams time will tell of course but it's imperative that we target 4/6 points home and away against just these 5 teams which would give us 20 points add that to the 8 already -3 cost we've played and beat Fulham and we have 25 points theoretically of course but targeting points against these sides is imperative for survival cod they will be right down there end of season that I have no doubt about

I believe there are 5 teams worse than us in this league, We are yet to play an 'Expected win Game' Yet, Im talking about the Palarce, Stoke, Fulham, West Brom, Hull, Sunderland, Swansea and Norwich's at home.
My Bottom 3 are Sunderland, Palarce and Fulham. City to finish 16th.

I want to see how we are against these teams first.
I felt we would be comfortable mid table at the start of the season and still do but not as comfortable with it. We have started of OK with a fantastic win against Man City but 2 disasterous games against West Ham and Newcastle balance that out. Everything else has gone slightly better than expected.
I dont see us getting much over the next 5 games because the opposition is going to be the hardest period we are going to have. After that it will get easier and hopefully we will be battle hardened premier level. Then we will see.

Agree baked we have a tough set of fixtures which for me will make or break us and by that I mean will tan stick with malky after a few bad results, dies he now have to stick with him after moodgate? Will the playing staff stick together and not lose heads and stay focused after a few losses, that's when you need togetherness focus a will to fight and win real character modes the squad have that
I believe over the last season or two malky has shown thathe has the desire and passion and spirit for a fight a trait which he's embedded in the squad time will tell if that's enough to keep us up whether tan sticks with him is the nut jobs decision I suppose
My only critisicm of malky is his strange tactics however he'll get slaughtered whether we win or lose eventually so ill just focus on supporting the team whatever happens

Interesting if it comes down to the final week of the season, as everybody is probably aware we've got Chelsea home who may have to win at ours to take the title.
Norwich have got the Arse at home who likewise may need to win to take the title.
The rest are..Sunderland v the JB's, Palace v Fulham and Stoke v WBA.
If the JB's are safe would they do Sunderland a favour at our expense? Palace v Fulham could be a draw which may be enough for safety for those teams if we fail to pick up anything against Chelsea.
So many permutations it makes the mind boggle plus there could be another team dragging their arse at or near the bottom who none of us are considering atm.
We're gonna be in a dogfight imo just hope we can hang in there.

There is no way 33/34 will be enough.
When there is two whipping boys the points target generally seems to go up not down because of the 18th placed team. Id say 38/39 and you may be ok, maybe more.
Apart from Palace and Sunderland, everybody is capable of picking up points and cant seenthe likes of Fulham and Norwich only picking up 32/33 points. The 18th spot is going to be hotly contested and that usually meansna higher points total.

Can see where your coming from and that for me is the only spot left as well Sunderland need a miracle and palace just don't have the quality IMO

I think from end of November through to end of Jan will be the 8-10 weeks that will decide your fate. Your run is similar to ours we just had. Incredibly hard.
24th Nov - Cardiff v Man Utd (0)
30th Nov - Cardiff v Arsenal (0)
4th Dec - Stoke v Cardiff (1)
7th Dec - Palace v Cardiff (3)
14th Dec - Cardiff v WBA (3)
21th Dec - Liverpool v Cardiff (0)
26th Dec - Cardiff v Southampton (0)
28th Dec - Cardiff v Sunderland (3)
1st Jan - Arsenal v Cardiff (0)
11th Jan - Cardiff v West Ham (1)
18th Jan - Man City v Cardiff (0)
28th Jan - Man Utd v Cardiff (0)
From my predictions, that will see you on 20 points by the start of Feb. you will probably need to average over a point per game from there on in and still with fixtures to face such as Tottenham away, Everton away, Liverpool home, Swansea away, Southampton away, Newcastle away and Chelsea home its no mean feat.
Sun Oct 20, 2013 12:37 am
Almost agree with your post it's a difficult 3 month period but it was always going to be and in fairness don't think you 'll be far off our points tally there although I'd be more than happy to get 25 and c us in with a fighting chance for the run in
Sun Oct 20, 2013 12:49 am
I have short changed you 2 points however. As I forgot to factor in the 3 games prior to the hard run, which i believe you will get two draws and a defeat out of.
So 22 points by start for Feb, needing in my opinion, another 17 from the remaining 15 games. Which is tricky considering the rate you are going on now is only 1pt per game and still have the suprise package factor on your side that you wont have come seasons end.
I have been critical of your spending but I think in order to survive you need more Tan loans in Jan

I think you will lose to Norwich and draw against us and Villa.

I was thinking we would win against Norwich, draw Villa and get thrashed 0-5 against the jacks.

We won't thrash you. It means too much to your fans and players and your main strength is your battling which on an occasion like that will be in full force.

It was a joke but I'm sure you know that.
Both sets of fans are going to be nervous as hell.

Yeah, i think it will be more important to you than us however. If we lose the chances are we will still stay up and probably still finish above you. If you lose it will be a major blow considering it seems you are going to be in a dogfight with morale already probably a bit low with the furore surrounding the club behind the scenes.

not as important to you? hope that emanates to your team

Dare I say it a few good points from Roath in this one?
I'd have us upsetting a couple during that run, so where you have 22, I'd have 26.

I agree, I think he was pretty accurate with his list although I am hoping we'll get a win on Boxing day against Southampton.
