" OUT CLASSED, BUT "

Chelsea 4 Cardiff City 1

Just leaving London .

Malky's Trojans, they battled, they gave their all, we scored, us fans celebrated deliriously.

We looked good for our 1-0 lead but you could just feel that if Chelsea just upped it one gear we would we put to the sword.

To me the minute Chelsea equalised their class was going to start to show and the difference in finishing and the difference in class really did show, as to me there was only one team in it then, Chelsea.

Do I feel disappointed ?

No, because when we were winning was a fantastic feeling for the twenty odd minutes against a world club side.

Can we compete with these type teams?

No in my opinion we are a long way away.

We have not got class strikers, more like Championship strikers, I hope this does not hurt us come May 2014.

But Malky can feel proud of his battlers and that is what our team consists mainly of.

We have to go to places like Norwich and win like we did at Fulham and all will be well, so to me there was nothing lost today, our fans sang their hearts out and chanted on many occasions 'Malky's the special one!'

At the end our players clapped us and we clapped them.

My honest opinion we are a bottom eight team unless we spend in January.

On the real bright side blue in the away end outnumbered the red massively.

Norwich we're coming for you. :ayatollah:

We played very well first half and an uncharacteristic error from Marshal cost us. I agree though Annis, Chelsea away is one of the toughest fixtures in the League, we should not expect much from these type of games, it's Swansea and Norwich and even Villa that we will target for points.

Onwards and upwards and on to the next game !!!!!

To be fair I can't disagree with a bloody word of that.I would also like to add that no-one should be criticised too much either be cause we still have some championship players trying to operate at prem level and unless another Abramovich buys this club we may well struggle a while longer.

To be fair none of our competitors have world class strikers either. Our goal is 4th bottom or better.

In my eyes we gave as good as we got in the first half. The equaliser changed the game despite it being an illegal challenge on Marshall. The difference was as we have seen already in this league we are not clinical in front of goal where the opposition are. We need our players to be able to put the ball in the net when needed not every now and then. That means midfielders not just strikers.

Great trip again, and we'll never know what would have happened if we had still been 1 nil up at half time.

Chelsea did look at their weakest when we ran at them, which was not often.

Memory of the day though was the Fat Man taking the taunts, getting reeled in and then thrown out. Shame he went as he was good entertainment !

I think so... We need a striker, don't think we will see cornelius before Xmas and he will be too far off the pace then to throw into the side!

Saw Mackay being interviewed on Sky Sports this evening, and he looked like a man who knew the game was up,and that his time of being Cardiff City manager was running out

Class will always show, Thats what they say, but make no mistake this was a battle of 2 classes.

Chelsea is in the top 3/4 of the prem, we as new members of the prem has shown we are not just lucky to be here but can and do cause top teams problems.

We also played with class yesterday, our own kind of class yes, but class never the less, and more than just that.
We played with that never say die attitude that is going to cause any team who plays up problems.

For we see it time and again, when team go down so do there heads, but not so with us. Its as if all our players have that same kind of attitude, OK! we are behind ,But were coming after you , and we are never going to stop, coming after you.

Im very proud of our players and the way they play and all the fans that travel every where with them. I wish I could do it as I did years ago. :old:

I'm sure he'll leave us this season, so you'll get your wish.

Who would be your replacement?

Think it's harsh saying we were outclassed. I thought we more than matched Chelsea and we had good spells of possession. Unfortunately, Chelsea were gifted their first goal which totally changed the game, Medel went off at 1-1 for some unknown reason and then we made individual mistakes which cost us. Theo in particular kept constantly giving the ball away, I thought he had a very poor game.

But Chelsea never dominated possession, when they were a goal down they as expected, put us under pressure, but they only looked dangerous when hitting us on the break actually. When Eto'o worked his bit of magic to put them 2-1 up, Malky went more attacking, which allowed Chelsea to hit us on the break and score a couple more.

To enable us to stay up this season,i would try and go for Harry Redknapp,if we achieve that, then Tan would have to make the decision as to what happens next....what cant be allowed to happen, would be to give Mackay to many games to try and turn it around....the next two games are vital for Mackay
