Chelsea continue their quest to chase down the leaders at the top of the English Premier League table when they host Cardiff City on Saturday afternoon at Stamford Bridge.

Jose Mourinho's side are slowly starting to gel and get their formula right and the continued growth of Oscar and Juan Mata's roles remains an interesting thing to watch.

The Blues are certain to be the favorites over their visitors and should have the upper hand for much of the game, but after Cardiff's upset of Manchester City anything is possible.

After impressing during midweek for the German national side with a hat-trick against Sweden, summer arrival to Stamford Bridge Andre Schurrle is expected to have a place in the first team in place of Eden Hazard.

This could be the German's chance to stake a claim for a more important role in the future plans for Mourinho.

At the start of the campaign many fans would not have picked Brazilian youngster, Oscar to be the Blues leading scorer heading into the eighth week of the campaign.

However, Oscar has a special place in the heart and plans of his new manager and is certain to be an integral part of the club's attacking buildup against Cardiff.
