THREE SIDED STADIUMS

I can remember Bramall Lane for years having an open side, I believe for the cricket, also Aldershot, but sure there were some others, I know Bournemouth's new stadium had nothing behind one end for years, but there must have been more.

Yorkshire CCC used to play there. They could still pack a good few into the three sides. Didn't go myself, but that 5-1 game in 70/71 had a big crowd, if my memory serves me right.

They have all 4 sides now

For a few year's in the 80's only the Bob bank, Grandstand and Family enclosures were open at Ninian Park, so that's 2 sides

I think Mansfield only have three last season but not sure about now. Notts County used to have a leisure centre behind one goal while Bolton had a bloody supermarket taking up half the away terrace!
