Should the club?

Wed Oct 16, 2013 6:55 pm

I seen somewhere that the Aston Villa away tickets had a discounted price for Armed Forces personnel.

Do you think all clubs should follow this and give tickets at a discount or even for free if the grounds don't fill?

Lets be honest they risk their lives everyday for this country, the least clubs could do is give discounts to Armed Forces personnel.

And when deployed away from family and friends maybe the clubs could send them little somethings, for example a free shirt and card wishing them well signed by the team.

Opinions? :malky: :ayatollah:

I'm not sure, I never heard of the club giving tickets to soldiers to be honest. :ayatollah:

Would be a nice touch from the club if they did though. :malky:

I don't know about last season as I did not attend but the previous one, the welsh guards or royal welsh were in the grandstand as guests and it was great to see them there

The club do give tickets to soldiers during the season.
I'm not sure how easy this will be for them this year with most games getting sold out though

I do know that there will be a regiment attending the Swansea game to conicide with poppy day

The club are always good as gold with all the welsh regiments and I know that a small handful of tickets were kept aside for soldiers when we played in the carling cup final.

Cheers for the reply, always good to hear the club give to the Armed Forces, didn't think they did to be honest. :ayatollah:

when I worked there I used to send them a program and a DVD of the game. Mostly to Iraq and Afganistan.
