Brighton & Hove Albion are in talks with Cardiff City about taking giant striker Rudy Gestede on loan for the rest of the year.

We're back again
Is he any good?

Not really good enough for top end championship club (let alone a prem club), depends where your aiming for this season. I don't think we should lend him out though as he is our only big front man until we finally see the 8.5m Danish Tank in action

Scored some important goals for us last year.

We're in a dire situation regarding center forwards. Ulla, CMS, Hoskins are all out for a few months and only have Barnes which he isn't good enough up front on his own IMO.
We are desperately looking for a target man and this fella seems promising and at the moment we are looking at mid table at best.

Simple answer is yes, he would be good for you. He's a little raw on times but has strength and a good run in the team should build his confidence and goal tally
I'm a bit shocked we're even 'considering' it as he has made a few appearances this season and I thought he was in Malky's plans
Assuming "in talks" means the club is happy for it to go ahead, does this mean Malky has something/one lined up for January now Vincent Tan is looking to show his 'support' for his manager?
Just a thought

i'd be happy to let him go until january but all year is a bit worrying seeing as we got some beauties in charge of finding someone betetr than him to slot in from jan.
Wed Oct 16, 2013 1:51 pm
Good in the air, plus he's got a decent shot, for me he lacks a little composure and tends to want to blast the ball all the time, how's Conway doing?

Be a bit silly since Cornelius is still injured/not in full training, he's a good player

He is amazing.
He would be Brighton's best player. He would be sure to score 20+ goals and hit the target with every shot.

doesnt lose many headers, a right handful, getting better each game, if he plays week in weak out, he would get you a goal every few games at least

My personal opinion, Def not a Premier League player, midd table Championship player at best. Gives 100% every time .

Not overly liked by many fans but I do like him and think if he gets regular football he can be a very good and strong player. Improved a lot during end of season run in last season

Its always goals you want off a C Forward , and a C forward depends on his service, I would say he is better in air than on the ground, although he works well and gives his all.

Thanks for all the comments.
He certainly fits the bill of a target man replacement sounds like he'll never going to be a huge goalscorer but that's not really his sole aim or our intention of getting him but a very good target for others to work off of ideally Barnes.
I believe the loan is till the end of January but if it works out ok then hopefully it could be extended but we then have that issue again of international clearance so with a bit of luck he'll be cleared just before Christmas

If its a target man who cant control the ball, cant bring others into play, cant pass, and doesnt know where he is heading the ball then Rudy is your man.

Think you'll find our league position is due to our crippling injury list than managers and how you think we're a laughing stock is beyond me.

Sacking your manager live on air and not to his face.
Sacking him just cos he didnt get you promotion when he had you punching above your weight.
Replacing him with some c**t who looks like he will get you out of the division but relegated rather than promoted. Back where you belong though I suppose.
Fans crying about homophobic abuse. Boo f*cking hoo.
Members of staff disgracefully shitting in the oppos changing room.
But above all that signing Leroy f*cking Lita
All pretty laughable to me.

Lita will score goals at that level, he always has. Excellent short term signing for Brighton.
