I've worked with his mother in the past and she used to be an old teacher of mine. I used to take my boy up to the school a year or so back for football training and he had his city shirt on, she was telling us then about Tommy.

Any contract signed ?

He's a very very good footballer. I watched him for the first time about 2 years ago and knew we had a talent on our hands.
The only concern was that he was very small and slight. I thought he would have broke through to be a prominent fixture in the development squad last season but he rarely featured.

I seen him play lately and he seems to have bulked up loads. I have also been told that the staff a very pleased with his progress. He's definitely one to keep an eye on.

Hopefully with us! I can remember Ramsey being talked about the same way years ago. Nearly had a chance to play against him in a 5 aside match as he was beginning to make his name in the academy and on here too.

I'm almost 100% sure I remember him signing a 4 year contract

From seeing all home development games last year plus heine games this year. I would have said Wharton, Harris and Oshijali were better than him. Hope he does well though as I do with all our academy and younger players.

Kane Owen and Healy have both been very good this year.

The only Ayer from the DVPS games I think should be given a chance now though is Harris for me he's one of our best wingers and I would put him on the bench over both Noone and Smith.

Great news for Tommy. He hasn't long turned 18 and although his chances have been limited so far, his father Paul is extremely happy how things are progressing for Tommy and the way he's treated by Cardiff City

For an 18 year old to get his first cap at U21 is a big achievement in itself
