Rudy Gestede

Tue Oct 15, 2013 10:03 am

Thought he was tremendous last night and staked a place for the 1st team. Didnt lose a header.
Really believe playing as a 2 man strikeforce (big man little man) is where he plays best.
Agree hes not to good at playing a lone man role as not good enough on the floor but can see why malky has him on the bench.
Think he would do well with campbell if we ever play 2 up top.
A lot of people criticise rudy but last night he was the only player that looked close to ready for the 1st team. Yes we got some good prospects in Healey, wharton, kads etc but can see why malky thinks they aint ready yet.
Anyone else agree or thinking on the same wavelength ?

No mention of Cornelius in the OP, Gestede is a good back-up option

Eti Velikonja didn't play, he was sat in the stand with Jordan Mutch.

He didn't play and also wasn't on the bench. Not sure what's going on with him as I believe he played v QPR. Good game of football to watch last night. Millwall next Monday. I wonder if all this bollocks will galvanize our squad for the Chelsea game? I truly hope so. Sitting watching the game at the CCS last night, I was and still am in utter disbelief of what is happening.

Where did I say start?

One post above suggested that he was ready for first team action... and guess where the first team are on Saturday? :thumbright:

Staked his place i said by playing well. No mention of cornelius either. I suppose a game in the development wouldnt hurt for cornelius to prove hes over this injury mind and get a good 90 mins match fitness
