When did we get a head of recruitment

When did we start employing a head of recruitment ?

Before moody who was our head of recruitment ?

We all know football has gone mad

jobs for the boys agents, stewards, 4th official, etc etc etc

Malky introduced it to help with the running of the club! one person do transfers, he does the tactics and coaching!

So moody was the 1st how did we manage to sign any players before his arrival

cos the manager did it, but there was more likely to be mistakes made! look at the DJ era for example, flops everywhere, to the MM era where 9/10 the players worked well!

I can understand the need from malky to get someone to help him, as we know DJ just looked at old MOTD clips to help him in recruitment. But, this needs to be run by the club, not one of Malkys men who if malky goes to another club he will go with all his dossiers and knowledge off the back of the CCFC credit card.

I can see why so many business men want a director of football. If you are the owner and you are aligned in your vision, trust the judgement of the DOF, he employs the First team coach, reserve coach, U21, recruitment, analyst, dietitians ect....

The first team coach is on a packet, much more than you, but is more likely to only last a few seasons. He has to report to the DOF as the owner may not understand the business.

You only have to look up the road. Huw Jenkins is their DOF, through 4 managers little about the club has changed. We on the other hand swing from one personality clash to another.

I haven't looked intoit but i do not know of any other head of recruitment at any club !!!!!

there is obviously help for managers at every club! they have scouting networks etc
