I suspect Sam Hammam is heavily involved behind the the scenes. Would not be surprised if he is given an official role to oversee transfers.

Was getting rid of moody all part of the plan for Sam to get involved in the day to day running of the club?

It wouldn't surprise me to be honest.

Does Sam still have the contacts and knowledge of the modern game to be an asset to the club?

VT was adamant, & on record as saying immediately after our draw v Charlton last April which secured promotion, how important staying in the Premiership for many years was to us [him].
