' Malky Mackay set to decide on his future, after the Cardiff City board will meet this Monday coming '

Malky Mackay will decide on his Cardiff City future on Monday following a board meeting to discuss the turmoil currently engulfing the club.

Mackay reportedly tendered his resignation earlier this week after the Bluebirds sacked head of recruitment Iain Moody – and replaced him with youngster who was on work experience.

Cardiff are said to have rejected Mackay’s offer to leave, but it’s thought he remains deeply unhappy about the exit of Moody and wants clarification over the future.

Mackay will meet with senior Cardiff officials on Monday at a board meeting.

It’s thought that if reasonable reassurances are not made over the future of the club, the Scot will walk away from the post he has held since 2011.

Cardiff owner Vincent Tan will not be present at the meeting, but he insists he wants Mackay to stay and will do anything possible to keep him happy.

‘I have every faith in Malky and his team to lead us through the challenges of the Premier League,’ said Tan.

‘I have supported him in the past and will do so in the future for many years to come. I would say to all Cardiff City fans and everyone connected to the club, let us look forward to the future and remain united in our support of the team.’

Despite Tan’s comments, the Cardiff City Supporters’ Trust say it is ‘deeply concerned’ about the goings on at the club, but will await Monday’s meeting before deciding what action it will take.

Not one quote from Malky or anyone close to Malky to confirm this

Papers will say anything to get hits, i feel if Malky had handed in his resignation we would currently be looking or a new manager.
