Tan can still rescue the situation if....

Sat Oct 12, 2013 5:23 pm

He comes out and apologises to Iain Moody, Malky, all the staff, players and fans of the club for his ill judged decision to put Moody on gardening leave which has led to his departure. Furthermore he should promise to consult with fans about reinstating our traditional Bluebird on the badge and our blue shirts for next season and promise to stay out of team affairs. Only this I believe will result in the fans getting back on side. I don't think he really realises the upset he has caused. I reiterate as I have said before in previous threads football is different to any other business, in fact it's more of a culture and tradition than a business and unless tan can learn and understand this he just as well sell up now!!!

Do you know why Moody was sacked?

Never going to happen.

Fans are fickle though, he could sack Malky as well and bring in a big name manager who could have a good start and things would soon be forgotten.

Look at Southampton, fans were livid when Atkins was replaced, I doubt they care much now.

To be honest I dont really care about Moody, shame he has gone because Malky obviously rates him but more annoying/concerning was the stupid replacement.

I think things have reached a tipping point now and Tan has until Monday to do all he can to rescue the situation or Malky will walk. It's in your hands Tan.

As I said he wasn't sacked. As I understand it Moody was suspended then within the hour that was rescinded as the clubs legal team allegedly said there were no grounds for suspension let alone dismissal and he was put on gardening leave. I assume Moodys legal representatives have now told him to go for constructive dismissal (this is the obvious course of action). To avoid a hefty legal bill, the wrath of Malky (him subsequently walking) and the fans it would be wise for Mr Tan to apologise for the whole sequence of events.

You are basing your post on hearsay and gossip.

Tan has ploughed in excess of £120m into CCFC, he has the right to hire and fire whoever he wants without justification to us fans. For some reason fans think they deserve to know everything behind the scenes when reality is it has feck all to do with us. If MM walks then thats his choice and we as fans just have to get behind the new manager. Its a simple as that cos nothing we can do will make a blind bit of difference.

By the way, if you think a billionaire, arrogant businessman will apologise to anybody when it involves his money/investment then you are mad.

Lets think..... I can recall chanting "Kumars out", "Clemo out" and of course "ridgedale out"

None of the bastards listened to me, but moved on for one reason or another later.

Don't think Tan cares

actually he has ploughed as much as you or I into the club :laughing6: its all borrowed money. He hasn't fired anybody :sleepy2: . The fans are the life blood of the club not just our club but any club. Without the fans all Tans billions or any other owners billions are worthless. I would rather we all got behind the current manager and show him our support. Yes we can do something about it, as we did with Ridsdale.

I didnt say you couldnt do anything......just whatever is done will make no difference at all. Tan will do what he wants, as is the right of any company owner.

How long has moody worked for the club, if under two years you cannot claim unfair dismissal or constructive dismissal anyways
Plus suspension would also be fully paid before an investigation anyway

No one knows why he has been fired and those that claim they do won't say why either meaning they don't know cos otherwise they'd post it, no reason not to post if you claim you know why and legal reasons isn't an excuse cosbye likelihood of you being sued is remote if I knew I'd say it straight away or I'd summise like a newspaper does and if I was right then I couldn't be used anyways as it was an 'educated guess'

Someone let the cat out of the bag because the club clearly isn't going to

Who said that? Tan? Any quotes for that? No? Oh.

I can however give you quotes from Tan saying we will be trying to stay up.

I see what you mean there, but to be honest, I'd like to think that we City fans have been through so much over the last few years, that if Malky were to be forced out or sacked, we just wouldn't forgive VT; especially considering the massive changes to our identity he's brought about.

Personally as a City fan, I'd hate to see that happen and even if another manager came on board and was successful, I'm not sure I could look at the club in the same way while VT was in charge.
