There are still 100 Chelsea tickets left for those who have done 6 or more games away last season

I take it you mean only through the travel groups Vince?

I only found out today that they've given me the day off work, but would have to go on the train due to location obviously.

Vince as you attend these travel meetings hopefully yopu can explain the ridiculous way away tickets are issued. im going to chelsea but only on the day of sale when finally getting through to ticket office being told they were all sold ( went to 12 aways on the club database last year) so guaranteed a ticket--or so i thought--an hour later i had a call one magically was available now----norwich away 1st game i have to miss this year---cant get through on phone e-ticketing down and magically within an hour all tickets sold---sorry for boring you vince but what are cardiff going to do to ensure villa is not another farce, nearly midnight friday nothing on club website just speculation they go on sale monday and you will hjave to of gone to 3,4, or 5 games depending on who you listen too---our away ticket selling is a joke nobody knows whats going on, ive emailed nashy and mona, no reply yet asking how with my loyalty on the database i cant go to norwich, its a joke

Don't ask Vince or any other travel club rep and expect to get a reply that addresses the issues of the independent traveller, as quite frankly they don't give a toss, as long as their lot are looked after. The independent supporter are only called upon these days when the travel club have had their fill and the club have to get rid of the remaining tickets, f*cking discrace I say, everyone out for themselves

Well you are right its all speculation!

Fact Villa will not go on sale Monday

Fact; Villa criteria not set yet! they are looking to use this years games for Villa and part last year but to be confirmed once they have investigated.

Fact; Chelsea did have sold out signs after a couple of hours but once the club went through fan numbers from the travel groups a couple of hundred didn't qualify and were put back on sale.

Fact; Norwich this year the premier league have this policy where only the first block of tickets around 50% of the allocation is on sale or return after that they have to sell at least 50% of the next block or pay for all the tickets they don't sell in Norwich case it was a 1000 so in effect Cardiff had to sell a total of 1900. However they expect the away club to give the numbers 4 weeks before the fixture which for cardiff supporters is an age before the game as many are use to buying away tickets in the last week. The club have been using the travel club as a gauge to how many to order, and after the last travel club meeting they asked us to push and gauge interest for Norwich, at that point with the exception of the supporters club who had 350 booked and the forum coach who had a 100, the rest of the coaches made up around 180 saying interest was slow! Based on that interest the decision was made that there was no way we could get to 1900 sales and so the decision was made to take 1400 instead of 2400. the day before the ticket were due on sale, many travel group colleagues submitted their ticket requests and there were over 1400 requests!
The club Refused to to satisfy these lists so that they could go on sale to those who were making their own way as they had previously reported low interest. All of us suffered with the supporters club allocation reduced by 100. The club will review this practice for future games. IF it was based solely on supporters club interest 350 in a week I am sure a different decision would have been made, I was personally shocked at the time from the lack of interest with my colleagues coaches, although we have warned our members to show interest early in these so called less fancied games so we can maximise the tickets from the home club.

A month is along time but the home clubs a lot of them sell out so they want to put the block on sale Just like we did for the Newcastle game when they didn't sell out we had an additional 500 tickets in the Ninian stand

I'm not knocking you Vince or singling you out, it's the the that the club have put in place that's to blame. Suddenly supporters like me who have been going away for over 35 years independently are being left with scraps, it's f*cking wrong

Usual shit, with our club, if they can get someone else to do the work for nothing then they will take up the opportunity and f**k the consequences. I know of loads of independent supporters who aren't happy with the way the ticket distribution is being handled. Hopefully someone will get this sorted, but I won't hold my breath

Bluebird owen cant u read? He just said that tickets dont go on sale monday, so the club havent got 48 hours to sort out the criteria,

Re: ' Still Chelsea tickets left '

Sat Oct 12, 2013 9:20 am

It shouldn't be such a dark art or require rocket science to sort. I would have hoped that the criteria for Chelsea was based on the allocation size and a sliding scale of amount of away games 1500 people had done and if the answer was 6 then all those should have had tickets if they wanted. They should be given a couple of days to purchase then after that time the criteria reduced to 5 games and so on. If theanswer was 10 games then why not set it at that? Is that too logical?

No it's not "too logical" and your right there shouldn't be any dark arts involved. The club should just announce when the tickets go on sale, how many there are and the amount of games needed and then it's first come first served, but no, OUR club as usual try to cut costs and man hours by getting the unpaid travel club operators to do as much of the work for them as possible and if it fecks off a certain amount or a certain section of the most loyal fan base then tough, shit happens.

Sorry carl misread that in vince,s reply to me, there is a post they now go on sale wednesday---why cant the club officially confirm the date on their website---tickets still for sale for chelsea, not according to the official website SOLD OUT it says and carl as you attend the travel meetings how on earth can a club misjudge demand for norwich so much where a season ticket holder like myself 12 aways last year, been to brentford, cheltenham, west ham, hull and fulham this sewason cant get a ticket to go-----Club not caring about past loyalty
