At the end of the day it's the manager that has the biggest say and final say in who he wants to sign so that's what matters. Head of recruitment just helps the manager and we could end up with a better one. I bet half premier league fans don't know and don't care who their head of recruitment is aslong as come transfer window quality players get signed? Don't you agree?

Do you really think that clubs only do deals and look closely at players during the transfer windows then..? Many of the deals are done months in advance!!!
The bottom line is that it should have been Malkys call

The bottom line is why the f**k can't a decent manager, who's had all the financial/administration/management training that they get these days, sign the players himself? Here's the cash we've agreed Malky, spend it wisely because it's your job on the line. When it's gone, don't come asking for more, and get the results we expect.....otherwise you're out! Simple....
