We all re-call Tan stating (perhaps un-wisely) last season that Malky would have about £25M to spend in the Summer. we all thuoght well thats not a bad transfer purse for a newly promoted club and I for one was well happy with that.
Now lets look at the Summer Transfers, we were all even more happy with a spend of £35M which exceeded our expectations. So think about this Tan finally gets the final figure, £10M overspend! his first reaction (and maybe wrongly) who is responsible for this overspend and quickly comes to the conclusion Ian Moody (Transfer chief) Tan now says ian you screwed up big time, Bang you are fired (knee jerk reaction) He is then told that maybe Simon Lim as Cheif executive has the responsibility for ensuring that the budget is maintained so maybe its Lim who should be in the firing line. The real silly thing in all this is the so-called numpty replacement for Moody in this.
What we all must accept is that Tan has the right to hire and fire who he wants!
All of this should have been sorted out behind closed doors not in the public domain where people are jumping about making 2 and 2 add up to 122 and there lies the problem.
All this is sortable so let the Club sort it Please for the sake of everyones sanity!!!!!!!"

Sorry I don't buy that as a reason for what has happened. Think back to when we had only bought Cornelius in the transfer window. Everyone was moaning at our lack of new players. The next thing we get is an explanation in the press about how when a player has been scouted Moody compiles a report, then Malky looks at the player and report before sending everything to Vincent Tan to OK any deal. Are you telling us that a billionaire who is used to signing contracts can't add up the amounts and gets a figure of £25m instead of £40m. VT then suddenly wants a top 4 finish instead of being happy with staying in the Premier. I think he is after publicity for the share flotation of the club and will continue to engineer stories about the club until the flotation. There hasn't been a week where something is not in the press, rebranding, colour change, stadium expansion, Malaysian Government sponsorship (VT has contacts in government and industry), buying Balkan's clubs, bonus payments (again a billionaire used to dotting i's and crossing t's doesn't know about these bonus payments). Can you see a pattern yet?
