What Is Expected By The Owner/Board?

Thu Oct 10, 2013 7:50 pm

Both the Independent and Daily Mail have reported that MM was asked to leave the club over recent weeks. I am sure that City Gent has also mentioned this on this forum.

That being the case, clearly there is speculation as to the reasons why this has occurred but clearly the main two things that stand out are :

1: The budget/money spent on the summer transfers - exceeding the budget or.
2: VT/The Board expect us to be performing at a higher level and to be higher in the Division.

I am sure it will come out in time but everything points to the fees/quality or lack of/value for money of the summer signings, particularly in view of Iain Moody's gardening leave.

What owner/board in their right mind would want to dispose of the services of a manager who has taken a club to the semi final of the Play Offs, to a Wembley Final and achieved promotion to the Premiership all in such a short space of time ?

MM was not my first choice to take the post when he did but now having been in post and done such a good job he needs to be fully supported by the fans and particularly the club to ensure that the progress of Cardiff City FC is not de railed having taken so long to reach the summit.

One has to ask what is expected by those in charge? Rumours of a top 4 being expected, surely not, how can CCFC compete in the market place with the mega cash clubs Man City, Man Utd, Chelsea, Arsenal, Spurs, Liverpool, et al. Thus far MM and the team have done a decent/great job and its the club that should be fully supporting MM and the squad. A statement needs to come from the club outlining their stance and their support of MM. Views?
