Then he would have been suspended pending an investigation. What they have done is to remove him for the rest of the season, which suggests he's not done anything they can sack him for. He's just rubbed the boss up the wrong way.

It seems there are some who don't want you to know what is going on at your club.

Normally when your face doesn't fit and its difficult to performance manage you out the business the company ,makes an offer, you go on "gardening leave" to consider the offer and your actions.

I'd take 'gardening leave' t technically mean the same thing. He's suspended on full pay and been told to stay away whilst the investigation goes on. From a PR perspective its just a nicer way of saying it and blurring the lines of what is actually going on should he want to apply for another job in the future
