I didn't confirm it. I just said that was one of the nasty rumours going round, and i wouldn't believe the charges anyway

What's wrong with using one of your other usernames?

What story

Cobblers. If he'd done wrong, he'd have been sacked. The fact he's been put on "gardening leave", means the club knows there are no grounds for dismissal, else they would have done so. Then it would have been Tan in need of a lawyer.

Gardening leave can mean they suspect something but need to investigate fully before action is taken.

Then he would have been suspended pending an investigation. What they have done is to remove him for the rest of the season, which suggests he's not done anything they can sack him for. He's just rubbed the boss up the wrong way.

It seems there are some who don't want you to know what is going on at your club.

Its about the compensation package, that's it.

Companies can sack you illegally, You place an unfair dismissal claim in and two years later you get your compo. Normally when your face doesn't fit and its difficult to performance manage you out the business the company ,makes an offer, you go on "gardening leave" to consider the offer and your actions.

He is gone for whatever reason.

I'd take 'gardening leave' t technically mean the same thing. He's suspended on full pay and been told to stay away whilst the investigation goes on. From a PR perspective its just a nicer way of saying it and blurring the lines of what is actually going on should he want to apply for another job in the future
