Feel Sorry

Thu Oct 10, 2013 10:06 am

I thought i would never write what i'm about to write...which is i find myself feeling sorry for the "in Malky we trust"brigade .....they must be wondering what has hit them....the man they though was a God,a man they thought could walk on water, has been found wanting, not only a percentage of fans on here but also the owner now know that Mackay is not up to the job, something i have said and been vilified for saying from the time Mackay was given the job, unlike most of Mackay's supporters on here,i took the trouble to chat with a number of Watford supporters, who told me of Mackays limitations and his philosophy on how the game should be played, which was based on a robotic type of football, very defensive in nature and no plan "B" now there will be a lot of people on here who will say that Mackay took us to the promised land,my counter argument to that,is that a trained chimp could have got us over the finishing line,in fact i would argue,we got promotion despite Mackay from a very average Championship,a campaign incidently in which we played some of the worst football i can remember in all of my 50 years of supporting Cardiff City, now let us look of Mackays use of the 30 plus million pounds he was given as a war chest,in all honesty i ask the question, was that money well spent??.........so in conclusion i repeat that i do feel sorry for Mackay's supporters right now,who put their faith in a God that turned out to be a false one

I would suggest to the idiots on here, that its not how you put together the message but the message itself that's important but i suppose asking the morons on here with the IQ of a grape to understand that is probably a bridge to far

Angelis, you factually 'know' little on current issues (much like 99% of us) but still feel the need to sieze the opportunity to repeat your already overly expressed anti-Malky propaganda. Embarrassing TBH

Like i thought...you have nothing of use to say on the subject...in fact i have decided that due t the fact that most of my critics do not have sufficient enough intelligence to debate with me without resorting to petty point scoring on my lack of using paragraphs or in some cases just plain personnel abuse,i have decided to refrain from posting on here, but before you numskulls start thinking of holding a party to celebrate.....i will be back when Mackay has left the club

Actually, it has little to do with that and everything to do with the fact that most have more sense!

A trained chimp could have got us up? We had a comparative squad, if not better, from 2008 to 2011 and didn't manage it.

This post has yet again made you look silly.

Mackay has done a brilliant job and those comments from Watford fans are lies because he changed his style when he came to Cardiff. Watford were free flowing attack whilst he built us more solidly. Learnt his lessons and stormed the Championship.

Gibberish

The squad last season was much stronger than any previous squad.

We may have had one or two fantastic individuals 2008-2011 but never had a strong squad in both quality or numbers.

Unless you want to try and tell me Tony Gerrard and Darcy Blake were better than Conolly and Turner??

Or perhaps you think Gavin Rae was better than Aron Gunnarson, Don Cowie and Jordan Mutch?

Good of you to use three players that didn't figure an awful lot during this period (perhaps Rae aside).

In 2008/09 we had Roger Johnson and Glenn Loovens, certainly comparable to Connolly & Turner.

Rae wasn't far off Cowie's level, Mutch hardly played last season anyway and I'd say Stevie McPhail in his prime wasn't far off, if not better, than Gunnarsson. We had Joe Ledley as well who is definitely around that level.

Re: Feel Sorry

3 players who didnt feature an awful lot :? :? :?

Hudson must have partnered himself then in 2009 and 2010 before Ben Turner come along in 2011 then :?

Marshall
Lewis
Mcnaughton
Conolly
Turner
Hudson
Taylor
Gunner
Whitts
Cowie
Mutch
Ralls
Smith
Noone
Bellamy
Conway
Kimbo
Mason
Helguson
Campbell

Thats 2 top players for each position except maybe left back, and your telling me that it wasnt our strongest squad

Feel free to name me a SQUAD comparable with that in terms of quality and numbers in the previous years you mention

And I bet his dad won't be too pleased when he sees the papers banging on bout him ;) :ayatollah:

Gerrard wasn't even with us in 2010/11, he was at Hull on loan. He didn't feature all the time in 2009/10 either.

Easy - 2010/11 squad

David Marshall
Kevin McNaughton
Lee Naylor
Gavin Rae
Mark Hudson
Gábor Gyepes
Peter Whittingham
Michael Chopra
Jay Bothroyd
Stephen McPhail
Chris Burke
Dekel Keinan
Jason Brown
Paul Quinn
Anthony Gerrard
Jon Parkin
Jason Koumas
Seyi Olofinjana
Tom Heaton
Darcy Blake
Jay Emmanuel-Thomas
Adam Matthews
Aaron Wildig
Craig Bellamy
Stephen Bywater

Some of those players might not be up to much now but they were good players at Champ level in 2009-2011 period. We also lost the likes of Roger Johnson, Glenn Loovens and Joe Ledley to bigger clubs.

I remember everyone salivaying on here over our front line options.
