There's no such thing as bad publicity.

There's no such thing as bad publicity has often been attributed to the showman, circus owner and self-publicist P.T.Barnum. The saying could be equally apt when a Football Club is going to be floated on the stock market. First we have the player bonus row which is then resolved; and now the Head of Recruitment suspended on full pay on gardening leave and replaced temporarily by a 23 year old painter friend of the owner's son. Cue media frenzy. It strikes me as odd that a billionaire who is used to "dotting the i's and crossing the t's" of contracts would pay a player bonus in the Championship and not ask about a bonus in the Premier. Furthermore, all this happens at the same time as Mr Tan acquires 98% ownership of Cardiff City. If Ian Moody is re-instated in the job of Head of Recruitment, then I think I'm on the right track.

I do hope there is at least the semblance of some rational thinking behind recent events - I hate seeing the City splashed across the papers for all the wrong reasons.

That said, do other clubs who float on a stock exchange make up this sort of crap to garner publicity?

To me it is the impression that things are unravelling that is most upsetting, especially in the context of the togetherness that Malky has communicated to the fans and the team.

Tell that to Rolf Harris.

No, other clubs who floated on the stock exchange didn't need the publicity, as they were well known in the UK where they were floated, but VT is looking to float Cardiff City in the Far East.

VT was initially going to be happy if we stayed in the Premier, yet now he apparently expects a top four place. This doesn't make sense unless I am right about my theory of VT seeking publicity prior to share flotation.
