A forum for all things Cardiff City

Ian moody isn't the be all and end all of Cardiff city FC. Since he's gone people are crying like children.
Personally I don't think Ian moody or malky made the best out of tans 35million budget.
Malky has done a great job don't get me wrong but with his negative tactics and approach I sometime wonder how far he can take us? I hope he stays but if he goes like moody it isn't the end of the world isit, football is a cut throt business and people were shocked and disgusted when Nigel Adkins lost his job, AND LOOK AT THE SAINTS NOW! TOP 4!
Things could turn out just fine stop being all doom and gloom bluebirds lets stick behind the team because the fans turning their back on the club and players not giving our great support would be worse than any recruitment officer going.

When will you realise...
It's not the sacking of Moody, it's the fact that he's put a painter & decorator in to replace him!!
You can hardly describe it like Southampton.. Adkins was replaced with a coach with real class pedigree, Tan has dropped his son's mate in who has no experience in football AT ALL.

The problem is not the removal of someone, its the replacement.
If you worked at EA and your boss sacked your head programmer and replaced him with a guy who's got an NVQ in cooking would you be pleased or would you worry for the sake of the company and where its going to end up and what affect that might have on your job security?
Well its the same feeling when your lauded Head of Recruitment gets put on gardening leave and replaced with someone who's about as qualified as your average job centre attendee.

Yeh fair enough, I'd be surprised though if this kid was going to stay in charge of recruitment, we don't know the full story and it might only be temporary. And this kid might even surprise people and bring in some quality players, it does seem a bit of a shambles but everyone got to start somewhere but it doesn't sound like the kid got great knowledge of the game so let's hope it's just temporary

The issue for me is why was it done at all !? Surely Malky's team ethic is his & the club's strength?! By going over his head Tan has shown his colours ! Was IM the one who requested that Tan did not attend the dressing room pre-Toon last Saturday !?!

From what is being suggested, Moody leaked the bonus story to the London press, Tan found out and suspended him, Mackay objected, Tan and Mackay had a heated argument on Tuesday, Mackay was asked to resign. Mackay refused, Tan appointed the son of a multi-millionaire on works experience the very next morning to piss Mackay off, Mackay knows exactly what Tan is playing at and refuses to quit.
The painter and decorator won't be here for long. Unfortunately neither will Mackay

Totally agree 35m was not managed well this summer. I mean we signed 2 f*cking right backs ffs.
My concern would be for a new manager, who would want to play a different style of play to hoofball, hasnt got the players to do it.

I agree with many things you say Polo but I think you are wrong about us not having the players to play decent football. It is essentially Turner and Marshall that send long balls to Campbell who doesn't have the stature to hold play up against big defenders. The rest of the side are decent footballers on the ball at this level as we have shown by the goals against Hull and the first against Man city this season.

Turner is not comfortable on the ball and i dont think a new manager will change that tbh.
Gunnarson cant pass water and we seem to seriously lack pace and movement. Thats a concern for me.
Ive been a big supporter of Whitts as you know but his lack of pace has become more evident in this league, especially when hes played out wide.

I agree that Turner needs to be more composed but in fairness the problem is sometimes caused by Marshall delaying his goal kicks and then putting pressure on him needlessly. Whitts and Gunnarsson are being found out by delaying passes as they are not mentally tuned into the pace of the games. We have no pace to get behind teams other than Noone who gives the ball away far too often and Bellamy who is not at his best at present. The lack of movement off the ball is astonishing for this level - watch how long each throw in takes as there is never anybody in space.

Iain Moody has worked tirelessly for this football club and his thanks is to get his name tarnished! It's a f*cking joke. For me I'm almost as gutted about moody getting the boot as I would be if malky left
