Bluebirds Unite Emergency Meeting

Wed Oct 09, 2013 3:24 pm

Tomorrow evening (Thursday) at 18:30 there will be an emergency Bluebirds Unite committee meeting at the Canton Sportsbar to discuss the current situation at our club and the subsequent increased bad feeling towards the direction it appears to be heading in.

Whilst this is primarily a committee meeting, we are aware that others are likely to have their own suggestions, therefore if anyone else would like to attend then please feel free to do so.

Are you gonna stop bluebird37 spouting his shit on here?

Re: Bluebirds Unite Emergency Meeting

I thought BU were focused on getting blue back, Why is an emergency meeting required, are you changing the scope of BU's mission?

Eg: Is it heading down the 'Tan Out' route?

As soon as I read the news on Moody I thought BU would be rubbing their hands together at this opportunity to increase interest in their cause.

Whilst I want Tan Out I will not support Bluebirds Unite.

Bluebirds Unite have been sitting on the fence for ages without saying how they really feel for fear of losing a lot of support.

You've never actually said Tan Out because you'd lose a hell a lot of support from those sitting on the fence and you want to keep them to keep your numbers inflated.

I'd rather support a TAN OUT cause where the goals are obtainable and are not put in place to suit those sitting on the fence or appease people.

Its time he goes before we end up like Blackburn.

'their cause'?

So you don't want blue back?

It's OUR cause, for the whole bloody club's fanbase.

The man who did the work BU are fighting against seems to have made another ridiculous decision... No wonder BU are concerned.

1) The only negative stuff I have seen aimed at BU has been in reaction to daft things they have done themselves

2) Bluebirds Unite have been a group that never stood for true convictions because they know they wouldn't get the support. They have themselves sat on the fence like everyone else. Yes they can wave the flags and go to meetings but the truth is the only realistic way of returning to blue and stopping this circus continuing is to get Tan Out. They've never publicly said they want Tan Out as loads of their members sitting on the fence would stop following Bluebirds Unite and then their members would have been seen to have gone down. It would look bad on them as an organisation.

3) Bluebirds Unite can continue on as they do so but it wont change nothing because the only way of getting the club back we want is to get Tan Out so unless a group/organisation/etc is willing to stand for that then its truly a waste of time. There is no reasoning with Tan and once again, as proven by this latest fiasco, if everything adds up the way we currently think it does, he can be a shrewd and controlling businessman to get his way. It might come out that Moody has done something wrong to deserve being put on gardening leave but still, to replace him with a painter, actor or full time, is ridiculous. Its not like this is one of the clubs most important years in its history or anything.

Barry please don't defend this. BU was rightly set up to defend and request in there own right a request to reinstate our traditional playing colors. Sian did not set up that group to get involved with current club affairs regarding staff or club matters, leave that to the Trust and the board of directors.

Its all about jumping on the bandwagon and I bet they are changing the script in which the group was set up to suit the current affairs going on at the club.

Its rubbish, they should stick to what they believe and they should maintain there end goal.

They seem to have upped the selves to some kind of supports club of some kind.

Guess it isn't just about the rebrand for them.

If Bluebirds Unites aim is to restore the clubs colour and badge. Why are they making this their business?

They are definitely just a covert Tan Out Brigade.

They're not a Tan Out brigade. A Tan Out brigade would have the balls to say they're a Tan Out brigade. Bluebirds Unite never have done because they'd lose loads of members sitting on the fence. Therefore, to appease to those fans, they themselves have sat on the fence in regards to their stance. A stance which unfortunately will never achieve a thing because the only way of a return to our traditional ways is to get Tan Out.

why?

what are you going to achieve?

this has got nothing to do with your campaign and Tan wont listen to you over the rebrand what makes you think he will listen to you about this

emergency meeting dont think ive found anything so funny in a long time, stick to your main priority not that youre very good at that mind

Sorry guys, have to agree with Gavin's comments here...

Firstly, no-one knows the full facts at the moment and, secondly, it is not within your stated aim of "getting back to blue" :?

I am on the committee and those quotes are my own opinion, other people on the committee will also have their own opinions ;)

Thats the whole point in having a committee, to take a variety of opinions and thoughts into account and try and come to a census on the best way forward.
