What The Malaysian Insider is saying about our once Proud Club Cardiff City/The Mighty Bluebirds.

I will probably be attacked by Tans supporters that he saved our once Proud Club, well were all allowed our opinions and beliefs, but I will never forgive Tan for stripping us of our identity, I will always stand by this, weve been saved in the 70's/80's/90''s etc etc, but we never had to lose our identity for it, the problem is we all allowed Tan to do what he wanted just for some Premier League Glory.

Well Vincent Tan has yet to turn the debt he himself created in to equity/Shares and until he does this, Our Club is still well and truly in a lot of debt and controlled by a man who does not have a clue about running a football club or cares about its identity.

Just so everyone knows the facts, there is only one person in charge at our club and makes all the orders and thats Vincent Tan end of.

Tan knows nothing about football yet he has been non stop meddling in the football side of our club, I personally see Malky leaving, if other clubs come in for him and even clubs like Fulham could go after Malky and who could blame Malky if he left.

' Vincent Tan stuns Cardiff, boots out chief scout, hires unknown 23-year-old '
' The Malaysian Insider – '

Cardiff City was thrown into turmoil yesterday when its owner, Malaysian businessman Tan Sri Vincent Tan controversially replaced head of recruitment Iain Moody with 23-year-old Alisher Apsalyamov.

Ever since Tan became the club's majority shareholder, Cardiff fans have endured a turbulent, roller-coaster ride. Supporters were riled and incensed when Tan changed the club crest and switched from its primary colour of blue to red.

Britain's Daily Mail reported that Apsalyamov, from Kazakhstan, is thought to be a close acquaintance of Tan's son with no previous experience in football.

The shock decision by Tan is believed to have significantly undermined Cardiff City manager Malky Mackay's position, as Moody had been a key part of the backroom team and his right-hand man.

Mackay had frequently credited Moody's influence in bringing in the summer marquee signings of Steven Caulker, Gary Medel, Kevin Tehophile-Catherine and Andreas Cornelius.

Moody has been constantly held up for the attention and diligence he put into the club's scouting and recruitment programmes.
Attempts by the Daily Mail to get an explanation from Cardiff City met with silence last night, although club sources revealed that Moody had been suspended from his duties with immediate effect.

Cardiff players are bound to be upset by Tan's move to replace Mackay's trusted lieutenant with a rookie from Kazakhstan.
This is the second controversy for Cardiff, following last week's row between players and the club over end-of-season bonuses.
The bitter row had led to a breakdown in the Cardiff players' relationship with Tan, the club's majority shareholder.
The Daily Mail reported that the players were so furious with the tycoon that they wanted him barred from any involvement with the first team on match days.
Tan angered a number of players after he reportedly refused to fork out a seven-figure sum for the players' end-of-season bonuses next May.
The paper added that it was common practice for clubs to put aside a cash pot to be divided between players based on the number of games they play in a season.
However, the bonuses are not part of the players' contracts, nor are clubs obliged to make such payments.
After a heated discussion between Tan and the players – in which Mackay was caught in the middle – a compromise was reached. However, the amount offered was less than last season's bonus pot.
The squad initially rejected Tan's offer as Cardiff City were in the Championship last season before winning promotion to the Premier League.
However, they later had a change of heart as senior players wanted to ensure that the club's young professionals, who earn less than the established players, were not in danger of missing out.
Although the Cardiff players accepted the smaller bonus pot, they made it clear to club officials that they would prefer Tan not to have access to the dressing room on match days.

Ever since Tan became the club's majority shareholder, Cardiff fans have endured a turbulent, roller-coaster ride. Supporters were riled and incensed when Tan changed the club crest and switched from its primary colour of blue to red.

Cardiff lost 2-1 at home to Newcastle United last weekend, with club legend Nathan Blake blaming the poor performance on the row over bonuses. - October 9, 2013.

Clubs should be community owned and run!

Any club relying on a benefactor are on borrowed time.

Multi millionaires tend to get bored if they arnt winning things!

Portsmouth, QPR, Bradford City! When will people learn. If the books don't balance you're ultimately screwed.

It's easy to love someone who throws millions at your club, but look a bit further down the line.....

The millions being thrown are ultimately just directors loans to the club, which one day WILL be called in!

I was always willing to give Tan a chance for the sake of our club and its future.

It was very hard to accept the change of colours and the badge at the time, still not happy with the situation, but I had reluctantly accepted it, as long as the club still has a future. But will always wear blue with the old badge.

But now he is interfering with the backroom staff and playing squad and this has me worried.

VINCENT TAN IS JUST A DICTATOR!!!!

'Our once proud club' the one that continuously got fucked around, bled dry by almost every person who walked through the door, hooligan fans etc.

A club we can all be proud of

I was giving Tan a chance but it's clear he doesn't really care for anything CCFC related... A 23 year old? Ridiculous... People shouldn't underestimate Malky's achievements.

Have you got or know any members of the community who can stump up £90m?

Haha.

No. But don't you think that's the point?

Spend what you can afford!

It's easy to love someone that "loans " money to the club.

Take a look at the Bundesliga majority of clubs have community involvement.

Look at the swans , community involvement.

It's awesome seeing City in the premiership. But ultimately there will be a price.

If you fancy an interesting read look at the Supporters Direct web site.

I personally would rather support a club who knows it's identity and history. Instead of pawning it off for a quick gain.

Look at AFC Wimbledon, real fans, real club.

We don't know the facts behind this situation yet, but I'd be lying if I said it wasn't worrying - it bloody is. It makes you wonder what kind of stuff Tan will do next... :o

My reply to the article:

"The man has a dictatorial manner pure and simple. Shareholders have not even had an AGM yet this year. It should have been held in Aug. This Tan regime should have been stopped by a huge fan protest 2 years ago when he changed the historic Club colours and crest. Sadly far too many City fans are gutless and just want to see PL football. His ownership of the Club has resulted in a reverse colonialisation of the worst kind. Just through his wealth he has raped the Club’s proud 100 yr old history and traditions with no thought of the Club's fan-base; it is nothing like the club I have supported for over 50 years. His latest ludicrous outburst, to remove our Club’s well respected Chief Scout for an unknown 23 yr old Kazakhstani, who we are told, spent some of last summer painting the Cardiff City Stadium yet again makes Cardiff City FC a laughing stock. Tan’s Third World business practices and superstitious mindset have demonstrated time and time again that he knows nothing about football; even calling City fans, ‘customers,’ and even customers he is willing to lose 25% of in his garish rebranding. As for me I hope Mr Tan goes so that stability and sane business practice can be restored to my Club. <>< "

At one time I was so happy to see this guy take over our club ,and also say he was going to pay off all we owe.
Then come the colour change , whoops I thought, BUT! ok I will live with it if it means we still have a club to support.
Now THis!
Sorry to say I really fear for our club now.,you dont replace a guy that has brought top players to our club, with someone who knows fk all about football and up till a few months ago was painting the fking place.

O MOODY BLUE, THE CARDIFF FANS ARE BACKING YOU , TAN IS A BELLEND, WHERE WILL THIS FKING END !!
