Blakey: If you look at what's gone on in the last couple of days with the bonuses. That has to have something to do with it. As a player I'd say it hasn't had anything to do with it but it must have.

Tucker: Kim and Gunnarsson had poor games. Even Gary Medel was off the pace.

Blakey: From what I can gather, it's not bonuses in the players' contract, it's one they normally have with the chairman.
We had a similar deal with Rick Wright. We had a side agreement where he was supposed to pay for a holiday if we got promoted by a certain time.
We won at Wrexham and the next game Rick put some money on the table and we went on holiday at the end of the season.

Tucker: Tan going against tradition. I find that very hard to believe!
If they had beaten Newcastle, this wouldn't be an issue.

Blakey: When you are all pulling in the same direction, everything is great. As soon as that breaks up, you have a problem. It should not have got outsdide the club. It was quite easy to solve.
It's not about money, it's about principle.

Tucker: Since Malky has been there, dirty laundry has been kept in house. This is unfortunate that it came alongside that first half performance.

Blakey: It was probably the worst I've seen under Malky's leadership. It's definitely top three.

Tucker: They banned Tan from the dressing room. Doesn't Tan own the dressing room? Doesn't this paint the players in a slightly greedy light?

Blakey: It's not only Cardiff who have bonuses like this. Every club has it and it boils down to the principle. Once it's agreed, don't go back.

As a player you are right to stand your ground. We did it against Rick Wright when he issued threats.

Tucker: There is a danger of saying Cardiff were bad. Alan Pardew was thrilled with that first half.

Blakey: Everybody was complacent - the fans as well. There was not the same atmosphere there has been.

Tucker: It was the first game Cardiff were bookies favourites so far this season.

Blakey: At Bolton the chairman and directors would come into the dressing room. Not at Sheffield United. Bolton was a very close unit as a club though and we had a squad would play for each other, even if they didn't like one another.
I don't think it bothered us when members of the board came in. As long as it was done before the warm-up.

Tucker: I think Vincent Tan only goes in to check the players are wearing their red shirts.

Tucker: Jordon Mutch will be asking himself, what more can I do to get a start? Great goal at Fulham and they looked a different side with him on against Newcastle. He's banging Mackay's door off its hinges.
Blakey: Jordon made Fraizer Campbell look better. Campbell does so much work but gets little support. Mutch played in the hole and did really well. That's why I would put him in.

This week's T-Shirt Question: e-mail your answer to jon.doel@walesonline.co.uk

Which classic movie would have been improved by having Blakey star in it and why?

Blakey: If I ever made it in Hollywood, I would send for the 300 City fans who came to West Brom to support me that day!
