A forum for all things Cardiff City

From today anyone posting on Bu's fb wall has to be agreed and liked by Bluebird unites committee, admin if approved then they will allow it on there, in last few weeks a few posters have disagreed with views and been banned, control has to be taken so no more nonsense or different views than the committee will be displayed
Sun Oct 06, 2013 7:32 pm
The damage has already been done.

youve lost your fight then
only listening to what you want to listen to how pathetic

Can't win though can they? If they let total free speech, then they get slated for the extremist views & if they don't, they're accused of this.

So you are against debate that is ridiculous censorship is not the way forward

Feck me and bu portray tan as a dictator. Struggling to see the difference here

It just gets worse!!.....How many times can a person shoot themselves in the foot without falling over.
A struggling animal in its death throes comes to mind.

You were all bitching about BU when it was allowing anyone to post any sort of comment on there and saying how it needs moderation... Then when they do exactly as was requested, the same people are bitching about it.
Absolutely laughable.

its a group for Cardiff fans who want blue?
why are they banning Cardiff fans? we all have an opinion surely
now if they are fighting trolls then fine some checks to find out if they are Cardiff fans should be in place
but to ban someone because they disagree with the committee is really pathetic
you may not like what BU are doing to get the blue back, you may have a better idea or think they should choose a different direction. all thats going to happen is your pushing supporters away, not that im surprised mind BU like their little cliques.
theyve lost what right have they got to take the opinions of Cardiff fans off them. Tan must be laughing his head off

moderation and censorship are two very different things

I can't work out if Bluebird 37 is a Tan plant....... All his output I guess is well intended but just alienates the fans they should be attracting.
Currently they have no mandate from the fans to speak to Tan on the masses behalf. Lets be honest the photo of the bar yesterday was probably the sparest bar within a mile of the CCS.

I don't think censorship is the answer i really don't.
You have to have debate and take other people's opinions on board, good or bad, then make a judgment on the best way forward.Censorship isn't the way forward.
This is just another nail in bu's coffin.

But when you have the people on there slagging off Tan etc. there are people on here whinging about that...
Just face it, BU will be criticised whatever they do.

yes they probably will but censoring what few members they have is the wrong way to go .
If people aren't allowed to voice their opinion freely they'll walk .

They desperately need an administrator it essential for them to have a charter and mission statement.
You appear a bright lad

Dude has to be a troll.

If this is what they wanted then it should've been done from the start..
Although intentions may have been different from some of the posts that have been made on behalf of the group, sadly this is part and parcel of this type of faction.
It happens on all aspects of anything that is up for debate .
And this is the main reason why I didn't sign up or anything to associate myself with this group...
I wish them all the best but I would not be happy to have people speak on my behalf especially if I do not agree with some aspects of what they could be saying.

I still have no idea who Bluebird 37 is and no idea why he/she is posting these things.
The situation is this:
Any topic started on the facebook page will have to be approved before being posted, this is to try and keep the page focused on Bluebirds Unites aims. No approval is required to post on any topic that has already been started.
We currently have 3480 people on the page and a total of 13 have been banned (0.3%). Of these 9 were 'spam accounts' ie just posting marketing adverts and not real people. The remaining 4 were banned for other reasons.
So 4 genuine people have been banned over the past 7 months out of 3480 or 0.1%.
Hope this clears up any confusion.
