Drug crackdown in stadium

Not sure if anybody noticed but during the second half I went to the toilets and there were a lot of police and sniffer dogs checking everybody underneath the canton today .
I saw at least 5 people carted off into vans and was personally made to put my hands against the wall whilst I was patted down by a policeman and had a dog by me .
Now I have no problem with this as it's there job but was quite shocked at the scale of the operation as I'd never seen it before in the ground . Anybody know why they chose today to carry out this or actually saw it ?

i did walk into the toilets to see a few stewards bashing down a cubical door! thought they were trying to get someone out who was sniffing in there, turns out the guy was just locked in and couldnt get out

I would say its an opportunist time to catch people.

They should have had them on the trains from Fulham, one druggy thought it was ok to creep into first class place his crap on the table and snort it right up his nose in front of family's with kids etc... If your on this forum mate YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE!

They were doing it at ours a couple of seasons ago.The problem was there was no warning so you was in the queue waiting to go in and all of a sudden there'd be an alsation sniffing your gonads.I think the crowds dropped by a thousand or so after that.

One of the stewards approached me and said "do you have any drugs on you" I said no and he asked me if i wanted to buy some.

These dogs have advance senses for detecting drugs. Apparently they can sniff the stuff in the crap gathering in your anus. Let one of these dogs into a concourse of a football stadium and the thing would end up chasing its tail and dying of exhaustion a few minutes later.

If you don't want to get caught doing drugs, don't do them in public places... Surely that's obvious.

Definitely agree with the above statement. I guess the objective is to catch people in the act of taking drugs and deter others from doing so at the stadium in future. If they don't run an operation like that on a regular basis then I don't think a one-off thing would be successful in either respect. Charge a few people and then back to the status quo.

Not saying this isn't the case at all - and thankfully I haven't had a dog's nose, or anything else other than a thermometer up my ass - but if you go to big clubs or festivals these days they are more likely to have sniffer dogs present at the point of entry and when inside you see that 95% of people in there are on some kind of drug you wonder how effective these dogs are

i saw quite a few sniffy white ended noses down there yesterday, now there's either a lot of coke being done at home games or snorting beechams capsules is the best way to get rid of the flu.
